NesVideoAgent: Hi! I am a robot. I took a few screenshots of this movie and placed them here. Oh! I also replaced the ROM name.
  • You indicated Snow Bros.(U).nes
  • I updated it to Snow Bros (U).nes

adelikat: Rejecting this submission due to poor optimization. Also, for this game, a warpless movie is the more entertaining choice and is preferred over a warped movie. Due to the lack of popularity/entertainment value of this game, it is likely that we will not have both a warped and warpless movies. See this discussion for more details.

It was nice to see a warped run as well. But this was just not optimized enough. Voting no.

What did you intend to write then? It is true that this is wrong: Author's real name: GUBO Author's nickname: 金属狂人 I believe your real name is not GUBO.

You should read the rule to know what you should describe before submitting, and write them in English. 你应该在提交之前阅读规则以知道你应该描述些什么,并且用英语来写。

Ah, okay. So what is "max12187566" then? I do not really know much of the Chinese online culture. Here at tasvideos, we require basically these things: ― The real name (included in the publications); it can be written in native script such as hanzi. ― An online handle (forum account name and used in publications); it should be in ASCII, that is, latin alphabets. If your online handle is written in a non-latin script such as hanzi, it is recommended to transcribe it, for example with pinyin, or use an entirely latin alphabet -based online handle instead. I do not recommend using names that end with numbers. If you want to change your account name, send me a private message and I will change it.

How to write down a judgement for this run. It was fun for the first 3 minutes, but then....extra shots..i truly dont know if you could save frames by skipping some extra things. Even tough i have to say, you made good efforts to entretain the crowd. Sadly, i agree, the run can be optimized, and a little more entretainment on the side could be useful. If i could, i´d vote no, but i do encourage you into trying to optimize it.
I am not a Taser, i just needed to vote...i do visit the site =P

Since no one is saying what to do better, I think tighter use of the slots could have saved seconds off the run, just by waiting a few more frames on the reels that took longer to slow down to stop.

Playing this game as fast as possible is not fun to watch. A slower movie which is more fun to watch is better.

This run would be much faster if you used 2 players instead of 1. Plus, I think it would look more entertaining. Would both a warped run and a non-warped run be accepted on this site? If only the fastest run (the warped run) would be accepted it would feel kinda stupid that I'm working on a non-warp run that would be obsoleted by a warped run, when it comes out, anyway. Or is a non-warp run more entertaining to watch?

You may also want to not always autofire...which is against the current point of this site.

I've been debating that too. Honstely I am not sure. The game isn't a terribly entertaining game and rather obscure. Maybe 2 runs isn't justified? Though warping itself isn't terribly interesting in this game so maybe there is merit for a warpless run. This question certainly deserves discussion, especially if someone is working on a warpless movie.
It's hard to look this good. My TAS projects

So what is the fate for this submission? From an objective point of view, this run is clearly unoptimal in several places, and can be improved by several seconds. For starters, using 2 characters instead of 1 will make this run both shorter and (at least in my opinion) more fun to watch. And even if a 1 player warped movie would be accepted over a 2 player movie, this particular run can be improved by several seconds by optimizing movements and using better strategies in some rooms. All in all, I'm afraid this particular submission just doesn't meet the standards of this site... I'm afraid I'm gonna have to vote no on this.
