Lets just get the important stuff out of the way, I'm one of the current site admins of TASVideos and am your primary contact for moderation related concerns. I prefer being contacted via TASVideos PM, or Discord.

Introduction
I'm Memory, a trans woman TASer that started in late 2015. I typically play games for Nintendo systems, but am not against TASing other systems. I'm interested in a wide variety of genres.
I was first introduced to speedrunning and sequence breaking around 2007 where I discovered a site called Metroid2002 while waiting for the release of Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. I've been on and off involved the speedrunning community since then, but didn't actually really contribute particularly much until around October of 2015 where I started glitch hunting LEGO BIONICLE for the GBA, which eventually led into me making my first TAS and first submisssion. Since then I've fallen in love with TASing and glitch hunting.
On May 23, 2018, I was made Judge. I hope to do the site proud with my position.
On February 8, 2020 I was made Moderator.
On September 2, 2021, I was made Admin Assistant because I do a bunch of weird things.
On April 21st, 2022, I somehow became site admin lol I guess. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
But real talk you can talk to me about anything you need to regarding tasvideos.
In addition to TASing I really love certain visual novels like the Ace Attorney series and the Zero Escape series.

Punchy is a clone of the 1983 arcade game Hunchback. It incorporates elements of the classic puppet theater Punch & Judy. Police Constable Bobby must rescue Judy from her abusive husband Punch while avoiding obstacles such as flying tomatoes, flying pies, pits with or without alligators, and Punch himself. Collectible sausages allow the constable to effectively skip a stage.
In this run, DrD2k9 and Memory speed through one loop of the game via optimal use of the sausage effect.
Note: Loading finishes and gameplay starts at 6:59.

Metroid Prime Hunters is the DS spinoff to the "Metroid Prime" trilogy, involving Samus in a race against six other bounty hunters to collect the eight Octoliths and get the "Ultimate Power".
At least, that's what was supposed to happen. Unfortunately for those bounty hunters, Memory is on the case. Thanks to a variety of tricks, out of bounds glitches, and optimization, Samus blazes through various planets in the Tetra Galaxy and collects the eight Octoliths in record time, destroying everything in her path. World's greatest bounty hunter indeed.
For those curious to see how the series originated, we also have a run of the original Metroid.

Mickey's Dangerous Chase is a simple platformer for the Game Boy. You can play as either Mickey or Minnie and the goal is to get back a present that Pete stole. The character can walk, jump, and pickup blocks and throw them. It heavily resembles Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers for the NES except with some autoscrollers with vehicles.
This run is 174 frames faster than the previous movie. The time appears longer due to more accurate loading emulation.

Ninja Five-O features a ninja cop battling evil ninja masters and terrorists.
Joe Osugi, bizarre 'anti-terrorist ninja', is called in to assist the local police, who seem to be completely useless in rescuing some hostages.
The game is basically a series of rooms connected together. Your job is to rescue the hostages and then escape the stage through the red door. You have in your arsenal a three-level shuriken, a sword, and a grappling hook similar to the one from Bionic Commando. Joe also has two special abilities: to make himself invincible and to attack all enemies on screen.
Memory improves the previous TAS by 28.64 seconds, thanks to better optimisation and new tricks. Please read the author's comments for more details.

Super Donkey Kong 2 is a pirated Famicom port of the SNES game Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest published by NT in 1997.
The controls, graphics, and audio are similar to the SNES game, but downgraded to suit the NES hardware. The player can only control Diddy Kong alone, and due to the lack of Dixie Kong, a single hit from an enemy will result in death, much like in Super Donkey Kong '99. Several things from DKC2 are present in the game, including banana coins, crates, the K-O-N-G letters and the goal target at the end of the level which is also accompanied by Diddy's victory dance. Notably, there are only three levels in this game.

Bonk, a young caveman with a big noggin, intended to become the TurboGrafx-16's flagship character, starred in three games, Bonk's Adventure, Bonk's Revenge, and Bonk III.
Since the system was generally considered a commercial failure, the first two games were ported to other systems like the Nintendo Entertainment System and the Game Boy, and two original games in the series were even made on the Super Nintendo.
In his debut, Bonk's Adventure, you play as him on his quest to rescue Princess Za, a small pink and cute little reptile, from the evil King Drool, a huge and ugly tyronnosaurus.
Memory improves the previous TAS by 2 minutes and 39.09 seconds, thanks to better optimisation, a huge skip in the underwater section of 5-3 and better overall boss management. Please read the author's comments for more details.

Plok is in a hurry, so he looks for opportunities to travel faster. He finds slides lying around almost everywhere. He finds nice presents making him a lot faster. He finds tiny holes in the Flea Pit for big shortcuts. He finds helpful sawblades, nice guys pushing him into the right direction, and even a lovely fish which helps him climb a mountain. Super Boy II is a 1989 clone of Super Mario Bros. created by the Korean pirate company Zemina (재미나, roughly translates to "It's fun!") and is the sequel to its earlier game, Super Boy I. Besides having bad controls and graphics, this game leaves out some of the original features, including warp zones, water levels, Worlds 5-8, and even the princess.
EZGames69 and Memory saved 00:10.68 seconds (if we ignore BIOS time) over the previous run by managing screen updates and Mario's speed. Actions that affect screen updates include collecting too many coins at once, hitting blocks from below, and running on falling platforms.

Current Projects
- Huh
On hold
- F-Zero Maximum Velocity - Haven't started the next Series yet
- Metroid II - Improvement on "select glitch" branch. Maps on hold
- LostWinds - Need to completely restart because the version of Dolphin I started this on doesn't work quite as well on my current machine. Also think there might be some early game improvements.
- Mystery NES Game with Samsara: lol
Canceled Projects
- Bomberman Max 2: Red Advance - If I ever get back to this it'd probably be Blue Advance unless TASing both versions are warranted.
- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Fall of the Foot Clan - Was just too frustrating and unfun - Thanks Alyosha for doing the movie so I don't have to lol
- Super Bonk 2: too much unmarked lag
Potential Future Projects
Note these aren't in any particular order and a bunch of other stuff might pop up that I end up TASing that aren't on the list.
- F-Zero GP Legend and F-Zero Climax - These would be done in time attack mode for a variety of reasons. Don't think I'd tackle these directly after MV though (assuming I get around to them).
- Wario World - Finding memory addresses for this game seems to be a pain. Might push on through anyways.
- Taz: Wanted - I said I was going to TAS this game like in 2016, didn't I? Oops.
- Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz: Eventually
- Metroid Prime Hunters - Improvement on current TAS eventually. Some things have been found since but I really haven't been motivated to touch the game. Maybe when some new desmume version or some new rerecording DS emulator comes out.
- Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising Hard Campaign - Either all missions or all missions max score
- LEGO BIONICLE - 100% would have some neat stuff to it, probably not going to be a new any% ever unless there's a new discovery.
Underrated TASes I like
Shamelessly ripping off Samsara's section
[1175] GB Metroid II: Return of Samus "select glitch" by Ferret Warlord in 23:47.40 | |
---|---|
Metroid II often gets criticism from a lot of people for being "boring" but I never really got that. This is probably one of the first TASes I've watched. I messed around with select glitch a ton when I was 12 and loved exploring the glitch worlds. This TAS is the embodiment of all that is awesome with that glitch and with this game as a whole. Anything that lets you destroy the alphabet is incredible. I really want to beat this some day. Best Metroid TAS on the site in my opinion. |
[3931] GB Tobu Tobu Girl "all levels" by Eltrion & ThunderAxe31 in 02:42.92 | |
---|---|
CUTEST GAME THOUGH. This game has some really good sense of speed for gameboy and the spastic movement that happens as a result is fun to watch. However the highlight is just how absolutely adorable the game is. |
[3760] SNES Kirby's Dream Land 3 "best ending" by WaddleDX in 1:04:01.22 | |
---|---|
Actually has some really good ratings but never got stars and I feel it really deserved it. At first I wasn't the biggest fan of this TAS, but then every subsequent watch I noticed something new. It is a really great showcase of what can be done with multiplayer TASing. |
[3794] Wii The Conduit by NEVERDOORS in 45:46.70 | |
---|---|
While there has been plenty of great gamecube TASes over the years, I feel Wii is largely unexplored territory. The Conduit is not the most revolutionary FPS but still has some really neat tricks in a TAS setting like crazy out of bounds and firing a pistol way faster than should be physically possible. |
[4014] PSX Disney's 102 Dalmatians: Puppies to the Rescue by Avouca & Custom in 18:00.20 | |
---|---|
Imagine puppies rolling down a street at 60 miles per hour. Only thing I don't like about this TAS is that they stand still while setting up for clips. Next iteration I hope somebody fixes this. |
[4079] PSX X-COM: UFO Defense by willbobsled in 14:34.49 | |
---|---|
I freaking love X-COM but I wasn't expecting to enjoy the TAS because I already knew the general outline of events. You only do 3 missions total and most the time is spent researching and stuff. But those three missions honestly ended up being incredible to me. ROTATING THE PATH TRAJECTORY OF ENEMY PROJECTILES MIDFLIGHT IS INCREDIBLE. Also some incredible usage of autofire and some really lucky stuns. If you don't know the game it is basically impossible to enjoy but I love it a lot. | |
[2089] Wii World of Goo by STBM in 31:30.88 | |
World of Goo is a FANTASTIC indie puzzle game with a lot of heart and cool levels, and this TAS absolutely breaks a lot of the physics. It rules. |
