This isn't really helpful. And I hope by "I hope I was help(ful)" you don't imply that this is the actual clip you had gotten... We want to clip into the glass and grab the shine. And it would be great if there was video footage of it. Everyone in the SMS community would be happy to see it work, but right now it's not even confirmed yet (by confirmed I mean, there should be a video - everyone could jump into this topic and claim stuff). E :
I suggest we don't waste on something that has a 1 out of like 123456789 of actualy working
If it saves 10 minutes in the TAS, it is damn worth the trouble.

In that video description it says you need to use fruit, yet I just tested this (on the EU version), and you don't need fruit at all. That video starts the clip behind the guy, using the glass+fruit, yet it's 10x easier to just glitch in front. Just start on the ledge in front of him, jump forward slightly, then ground pound, and that'll clip you in front as seen in the video.

E : If you saw at the very end mario was pushed down in to the ground where thus very carfully you were able to sort of just walk in through where the edge of the glass is.

Yeah, but unfortunately in Sunshine just clipping into the edge of things isn't enough; you need to be at least halfway into it before you can successfully clip through in most cases. I already knew about clipping into the floor, but did you actually get into the glass and get the shine?

Hy guys. I have been trying to clip in for many hours now and I believe I found out how the coconuts shut be lined up. I haven't got it work till yet, but I was really really close quite often. Just watch my video and you'll see: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ieKoiyoOeuo The coconuts should be as close together as in my video, so you are pushed out, without even talking to the guy, but when done right, you can talk to him while being pushed out (quite frame perfect), like I did in the video, which should push you out even more, but I just couldn't clip.

Maybe the coconuts should be placed slightly further/closer from the glass?

Yes, I got a little closer than that before when testing and even got a good bit of F.L.U.D.D inside the glass, but like you, I got pushed to the side right after I finished talking to the Pianta. Maybe we'll need a third fruit. Someone should try testing in another Episode how the third fruit would change the outcome, and from there maybe we can see how to realign two fruit to produce the same effect, if possible.

There isn't a third fruit till you enter the 6th episode, but I'll try it. One of my major problems with 2 fruits on one side was, that you can't put them together that close. @jlun2: The problem is, that further from the glass wouldn't help at all and closer to the glass would mean, that you couldn't talk to the guy anymore. I tried soooo many different setups, but this was the best I got till yet.

@LancexExWx How the hell were you able to collect 3 fruits and clipped into the glass. I checked all 8 episodes. 1-5: 2 coconuts. Guy in 1st und 3rd shine. 6-8: 2 coconuts, a banana, a pineapple and a pear, but the guy is not in the stall. I have no idea how you were able to use 3 fruits and the guy. Please tell us.

This is my closest attempt yet, but it only pushes me to the side... I could really use a 'fruit doesn't vanish' code btw

Has anyone found memory addresses for Mario's position? It might be worth directly modifying them so you can figure out exactly how far you need to get pushed before you can get the shine.

Yeah, I just wanted to see how it'd work with three fruits, but as you pointed out earlier the guy isn't there when you can get three. I experimented a bit with side-stepping but no luck there either. Just how thick is that glass anyway?

When I placed two down another grew back some how(Glitch?), but I was never able to get it to do that again. I think we should just do the Yoshi clipper before everyones brains explode. It's simple and we already know how to work it.

You've already done a successful fruit clip on Episode 1, but now you're suggesting everyone just use a slower strategy? I don't understand your reasoning here.

You might be able to manage it if you put both coconuts on the same side, that way you can have it try to clip you in that direction and there will be more of a wall.

I tried everything you all suggested atleast once the last few days and putting both coconuts on the same side is also one of these things. Everything you wrote may be true, but the problem is, that without another fruit on the other side, you don't get pushed out as fast. So putting two coconuts on one side may be the way to do this clip, but I, atleast for now, have no idea how to do it.

It's because he didn't do it successfully. I'm not saying it's impossible, just that he hasn't done it.

I'm saying is very possible, I did manage to get half of mario in, I just never actualy collected the Shine because I wasn't careful where I was going and I was thus pushed out. So I'm saying I've gotten in but never actualy stayed in.

This probably isn't useful, but you guys know how the game doesn't let you pause unless you're on the ground, right? If you do a flying forward somersault (Run + B -> A) aka the "flip" and pause right before you hit the ground, you'll hear the deny sound that plays when you're not able to pause but the pause screen will pop up anyway. I don't know the game's reasoning behind this. EDIT: Also, how exactly does the Eely Mouth's Dentist Cutscene Skip work? Do you just go near him after cleaning the last tooth?
