Hi there. I've been happily using Miro for some time now, which is an excellent cross-platform program that combines downloading/torrenting based on RSS feeds with VLC's video playback core.
Basically it allows you to add RSS feeds containing videos, which are then automatically downloaded. It also manages your files, deletes old videos that you've already seen, and has an online guide with feed links of freely available shows.
Wouldn't it be cool to have an RSS feed that allows us to download (and seed!) newly published videos automatically?
I've made an example of how this would work:
http://bot.thingmajig.org/tasvpub/published.rss this is an RSS feed that's based on the current feed, except it filters out submissions and scrapes information pages for published movies to retrieve the torrent link.
edit: sorry, RSS feed isn't working properly right now. I was doing some debugging without the "debug" setting on and promptly got banned for making too many requests. this will be fixed soon...
When viewing it in Miro, here's what it looks like:

After a movie's been downloaded it also shows a thumbnail from the video itself.
I'm sure that making a feed like this is an easy job for whoever's maintaining the site these days (sorry, I'm out of the loop) but if anyone wants it I'll post the source code I'm using. Not that it's very interesting though, as not having access to the database meant I had to do some ugly and slow screen scraping.

EDIT: here's the code in case anyone wants to take a look. It really just grabs the RSS feed (using simplepie), filters out the submissions, then scrapes the link to get the torrent link, then makes a request to find out its size without having to download it. All unnecessary stuff that can be ditched as soon as someone makes a feed on the tasvideos server.
