I found the problem! I had the Nunchuk plugged in by mistake. The movie plays without problems now and syncs for me with the free DSP ROMs and just the Wiimote. Also, it syncs for me whether the GameCube controller is enabled or not, so I don't think you have to worry about that.
That means that only when TASing you need to disable the gamecube controller. When playing back, you can keep it enabled or not.

Thanks for checking! Yeah, using GameCube on wii games triple the desyncs chance :p (I think it's 3 lol)

Wow, I didn't know that! I'll have to remember that if I ever want to work on a Wii TAS. Anyway, looking forward to the continued run!

Thanks, 1-2 is almost done, I just need to optimise the last slide you control with the Wii Remote :p

1-2 done! Link to video End of 1-2 was pretty tough to optimize (I'd say it took me about 500 rerecords, since some of the dtm weren't counted as I used read only), so maybe it's optimisable by a frame... but good luck doing it Kappa! :D DTM File

Can't you evade hitting the pipe at 0:36 by slowing down a bit?

The N64 core isn't even perfect yet. I shudder to think what a Wii core would look like at this point.

I bet it's more likely to see good Wii support in Bizhawk than getting a decent N64 emulator :/
Current project: Gex 3 any% Paused: Gex 64 any% There are no N64 emulators. Just SM64 emulators with hacky support for all the other games.

If you are legitimately interested in seeing good N64 emulator, go help MarathonMan create CEN64, the world's first cycle accurate N64 emulator: http://cen64.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=109&start=140

I would love to do so, but unfortunately I'm not a coder.
