Yet another WIP, with Dangan Man down now: Link to video User movie #32186484563848958 This marks the halfway point of the game. Four stages done, four left to go. The miniboss was a large pain. Its pattern is simple - it fires three slow homing shots, which can be destroyed, and when all three shots on are destroyed it will hop across the room (mostly invincible) and fire three more shots - but those shots would get in the way a lot, and I wouldn't be able to conveniently get rid of them because it screws up the pattern, or I wouldn't be able to touch them period if I was charging up a charge shot. I tried a lot of different strategies, but couldn't get any working ones with more than two charge shots, and having the miniboss hop once. Dangan Man himself was far more simple (although the first shot had to be very precise to do 4 hits). Barrier Wind makes bosses simple.

This product contains glitches known to the state of California to cause egg defects. <Masterjun> I'm just a guy arranging bits in a sequence which could potentially amuse other people looking at these bits <adelikat> In Oregon Trail, I sacrificed my own family to save time. In Star trek, I killed helpless comrades in escape pods to save time. Here, I kill my allies to save time. I think I need help.

The last standard Robot Master, Komuso Man, is down: Link to video .bakedgoods file Three final stages left now (Clock Men, Compas Man, R-Shadow). As usual, the hard parts of the stage were the miniboss and the stage boss (although some of the moth enemies in this stage were fairly annoyingly placed too). I tried several different weapon strategies with the miniboss, but it turned out that the good ol' Rock Buster (with three charged shots in between the uncharged ones) was still fastest in the end Barrier Wind saves the day again. Komuso Man's boss fight is one of the most ridiculously designed ones in any classic Mega Man game. He's only vulnerable at all when he stands in the corner of the stage while spawning clones, and is invincible at all other times. And it's not possible to jump over him or his clones, so I'm essentially forced to take damage a few times. EDIT: I found a more reliable strat with Barrier Wind on the Komuso Man miniboss (if you try to hit it dead center, it usually just bounces off, so you have to hit the outer edges for it to work), which combined with using Barrier Wind entirely from that point on (costing a few frames here and there) results in a 233-frame (00:03.88 seconds) gain. The above WIP files have been updated. (old encode for reference).
