Moderator EDIT: Removed erroneous link to a non-existant 9.3 release. Desmume has no 9.3 release.

Can't check at the moment; does this release fix the artificial slowdown?

I tried DoS and for me, the slowdowns are nearly gone. Only a LITTLE lag, when you defeat this hellhound-thing. But it's really better than in 0.9.2!

Does this http://tasvideos.org/1293M.html is still syncing ? Good job anyway :p Edit: atma sayd its not syncing But its logic, if you removed some lag, the movie cant sync (10% of the movie = lag)

Desmume 9.3 hasn't been released... When it is, it will be immediately announced on the home page: http://desmume.org/ I'm not sure what this guy is selling.

Well, the archive is certainly named "desmume-0.9.3-win32.zip", and it's hosted on SF, meaning it's not a bullshit build.

All the more irritating then. There will be an .exe named 9.3 floating around that will not be 9.3

@adelikat I also noticed this... But i found this on several pages. aep-emu: http://www.aep-emu.de/PNphpBB2-file-viewtopic-t-12701.html dcemu: http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=217923 and so on... this IS 0.9.3. I don't know why it's not on the offical page. And to proof you this: and the Lag from Castlevania is fixxed. Any comments?... >_>

Forget 0.9.3 exists. It was leaked unfinished by asshats. Quit arguing. Its not good for tasers. We were delaying the release to fix these very sync issues. 0.9.4 is what you'll want to use Also I am tickled by your attitude. Any asshat can make any build they want any time they want with any version number. It's open source, you know. If youre talking to actual desmume developers about a release that isnt on the actual desmume homepage, then it isn't a real release. No matter what the release says.

So the leaked "0.9.3" is in alpha? And are you going to soon release 0.9.4 that was planned to be 0.9.3-release?

Strangely enough, I just upgraded my computer about a month back, and now Desmume runs at near peak speed. All I did was upgrade to 2 gigs of ram and a dual core 1.7ghz processor with new Mother Board.

Wait, why were you banned from the DeSmuME forum?

This makes no sense. I have 4 gigs of ram and dual core 2.xish ghz processor for my laptop, and it still runs at 40% most of the time.

Well, maybe it has something to do with my new Mother Board? I dunno. It's weird to me, too.

Not all CPUs are created equal. it's possible the 1.7 ghz one is faster than the 2.x ghz one.

So is there a performance bottleneck with some mother boards?

well, it's a laptop. Maybe it's overheating or something.

Yes. Oftentimes the FSB (Front Side Bus) can be a factor. The L1 and L2 cache can be as well. Also, a processor with multiple cores but a slower speed will wipe the floor (more often then not) then a single core but faster GHz processor.

I don't remember when you bought your computer if you had bought a Graphic Card with it. It might be because it has to use software processing instead of Hardware processing. You have no video card if you have something like Intel Integrated Graphic.

does anyone know have the SRAM Battery works on this emulator? There is a file on a game that I already got real far in but I don't really feel like playing the game again to get to same point I was before and I want to record some videos for YouTube. So does anyone have any idea how that works?

IIRC it saves the data that the designers of the game thought was relevant; unlike an input file it does *not* save the steps used to attain the game state, and unlike a savestate it does not save a snapshot of the RAM.

Well, looks like I have to the beginning again. Thanks for the info. Is there anymore on the SRAM?

Did DeSmuME fix the absolutely terrible gamepad support? It was barely functional, each button instead of being, oh I dunno, Joypad (insert button number, 1-12) it would be stuff like Alt, Shift, Enter, Esc, (it'd still work, because the freakin' emulator is built knowing which keyboard keys each button press will do) It really needs to get fixed. The way I see it, can't the gamepad support be done similarly to VBA? Unless I'm mistaken, that was open source too. I can understand needing the mouse for the stylus, that's a fact of life. >_>
