I guess my previous topic was misunderstood, as a result we have no additional nominations for the following categories. I will leave this thread up for 7 days at which point I will make polls for each category. [2033] SNES Final Fantasy IV by Deign If there were a way to get a list of all the runs from '08, that might help jog some of our memories.

This could also be for lucky TAS I guess. Edit: maybe Kings Bounty can also be in the Innovative TAS category... with the bruteforcing.

Even the best player is limited by the speed of his fingers, or his mind's ability to control them. But what happens when speed is not a factor, when theory becomes reality?

Yeah, due to the lack of submissions (and general lack of interest) SMS is getting lumped in with the Genesis/32x/Sega CD stuff
Unless it's to mean "with a feeling of speedy motion" in which case I'd say ExciteBike.
Yeah, in this case speedy means fast motion not quick game completion. If it were quick game completion I don't think we would even need to vote :)

I am sure that there were more nominees than this before the console nominee topics were merged. Specifically I recall that Sparkster was nominated for SNES, and that S3K was nominated for Genesis. Though I could be getting confused with the Special Star discussion thread... I'd also like to add nominations for the following categories Sega:
  • [1060] Angerfist & OgreSlayer's SMS Wonder Boy 3
  • [1180]Upthorn's Genesis Ecco - The Tides of Time (gauche, I know)
  • [1044]Mmbossman's Genesis Sonic Spinball
  • [1098]Adelikat's Genesis Contra - The Hard Corps (full)
Lucky:
  • [1146]DarkKobold's Genesis Shining Force
Speedy:
  • [1232]Cpadolf's SNES Sparkster
  • [1231]Ferret Warlord's Genesis Desert Demolition (Road Runner)
Unfortunately I've been kind of lax in my TAS viewing this past year, so I'm not familiar with the breadth of the SNES, GBA, or NES offerings.

Both of these were published in 2009, not 2008.

You're just fucking stupid, everyone hates you, sorry to tell you the truth. no one likes you, you're someone pretentious and TASes only to be on speed game, but don't have any hope, you won't get there.

I personally think that the funny TAS of the year should be the new Family Feud TAS by Heisanevilgenius :D

That'd be a bit difficult, seeing as that's a 2009 TAS...

NES TAS of the year current nominations: http://tasvideos.org/1218M.html Solstice. A good length, very showy, and very tightly optimized. Though I admit I'd still vote for MM1. GBx TAS of the year current nominations: C... SNES TAS of the year current nominations: http://tasvideos.org/1135M.html Super Demo World SNES. 120 exits. It was long and I watched it twice. Both the run and the game itself owe their existence to the fantastic SNES tools that we have. Innovative TAS of the year current nominations: http://tasvideos.org/1236M.html StarFox 2 SNES. The run itself wasn't innovative. But the game choice and the patches used were. http://tasvideos.org/1208M.html Chrono Trigger SNES. Inichi did what? http://tasvideos.org/1126M.html Super Mario Kart SNES. Oh. So you can TAS a linear racing game. Good to know. Lucky TAS of the year current nominations: http://tasvideos.org/1227M.html Wizardry NES. He's really lucky. Funny TAS of the year current nominations: http://tasvideos.org/1211M.html Mischief Makers N64. Shake shake shake. The whole game is funny. Speedy TAS of the year current nominations: http://tasvideos.org/1229M.html Ocarina of Time N64. Link moves wayyyy faster than he should be. This is normally a slow paced game with precise actions rather than quick ones. http://tasvideos.org/1199M.html Dungeon Magic NES. This game broke pretty awesomely.
