So, I was playing random smb1/2/3 hacks today, and then sudnelty it freezez whole computer, alt+ctrl+del dont do anything, bu after one minute task manager comes, and everything works like windows vista whit 256mt ram, so veerryyyy slow, and FCU ultra uses CPU 99%, and I only have xchat, nod32, comodo and winamp and firefox running same time, luckyly, I get fceu closed and everything work'd normaly, and after some hours I started playing again random hacks, and same happend, so I installed every upade what windows upader found...
Also, I noticed this happend after I put 1gt more ram to my computer :\ .
My computer specs:
Celereon 3,33ghz
1.5gt ram (1gt + 512mt)
Ati radeon express 1100 (64mt vram)
windows xp sp2
So any ideas why this happend? (also I tryed to reboot, but same happend ...)

How can it your computer?
Seriously, I doubt it's FCEU's fault. It might be some hardware or software problem. Did you try some 3d games and they happen to crash? 3d games, modern preferred, are really good to test if a computer is stable or not. Is there any other software that occasionally crash?

I have almost the exact same machine, and FCEU has never crashed on me. Could be a configuration issue- maybe you should delete fceu98.cfg and see if the default settings are any better?

3D games? Only 3D game what I have on my co,puter are doom 1&2, oh wait, its mare 2.5D.. Nevermind, I have DOom 3 demo on my computer, and it lags like hell somtimes, but still now crash my computer :\

Vista Ultimate, 1.5GB of RAM, 2.0 GHz AMD Mobile Sempron (Albany), 128MB built-in AMD Radeon Xpress 200M; no problem running FCE Ultra on primary drive. The only time FCE Ultra lags is if I am running it off my external hard drive.
L337: Usually, it works fine on my computer. The thing is that I don't always trust running too many services as that could play a potential factor of slowing down my laptop. Have you looked into that to see what they got?

Don't search furthermore, I am 90% sure it's one memory stick that is disfunctional. With my own personal experience at computer repairing, when a computer is unstable, especially during 3d calcultions, it's not the video card nor the processor the problem or any other software, it is a memory stick. You probably bought some generic one and they do suck. It really worths buying a little more expensive one. I am using Corsair and I'm satisfied but there are Samsung known to be good, Kingston, OCZ etc... too.
But it could be some other hardware too.
