About the run

To my surprise, I noticed that Sega Master System has Rygar so I played a bit and liked a bit what I saw. I think the highlights of the run are when I battle the bosses as I managed to kill them pretty fast. A thing that might be useful to know is that Rygar does not slow down if you hit a enemy close so it was pretty simple to keep my momentum. And whats that yellow thing coming out from that "certain enemy"? :) I had pretty much fun working on this and I hope you enjoy it as well!
Edit: This run should not desynch anymore.

NesVideoAgent: Hi! I am a robot. I took a few screenshots of this movie and placed them here. Oh! I also corrected the ROM name.
  • You indicated Rygar (J) [!].sms
  • I updated it to Argos no Juujiken (J) [!].sms

Bisqwit: You are an experienced TAS player at this point, and this movie reflects that. It seems flawless. You've even done the best to select entertainment actions whenever given choice. Unfortunately, this game gives very little choice for doing that, and generally, just isn't very entertaining to watch. It is a pale shadow of the NES version of this game. That, and due to audience feedback, I am rejecting this submission. Good luck on your other submissions though!

I personally find the NES counterpart to be a bit of a ZZZZzzzzzfest, but there is a few problems. 1. I got a desync at around frame 20,000 2. Annoying repetive music 3. It was largely unimpressive, it looked too easy with little that could halt progress I'll give this one a 'meh'

(Announcer voice) How quickly can AngerFist TAS the whole SMS library? Keep watching to find out! EDIT: GoodSMS rom name is Argos no ju-jiken, by the way. Anyhow, I don't know how to vote. It's a fun game for playing, but for TASing it seems a bit too straightforward. I thought you did a good job with it, but apart from the boss fights and a few jump combos it doesn't really have much wow factor. Must deliberate for a bit.

This version of the game is pretty crappy and not very fun to watch, although it was a good run. So I'll vote meh.

That was pretty decent. Possibly rewatchable. Weak yes.

Well played given the game's limitations, but this game is a pale shadow of the NES version's charm. It doesn't really allow the player to impress either. I'm voting "no".

At first, I thought "wow, Rygar was on SMS and I never knew". Now I know why I never knew. It wasn't worth mentioning. I appreciate the effort and the run in and of itself is excellent. But maybe it's just the fact that I've been spoiled by the NES version that keeps me from voting Yes on this video. (Due to circumstances beyond your control, of course.)

I'm sorry if this sounds too closed minded but you're kinda just walking in a straight line the entire time. Theres just not much going on. It does seem well played though so meh vote.

Alright, what was that I just saw, penis whips?! Damn, AngerFist, I never doubted your abilities. You're able to sneak a penis everywhere, even in a TAS submission! Back on topic: this game is so bad, it's even funny… for the first 3-4 minutes. But after that, it becomes unwatchable no matter what you do. :\ Nice try, but… no.

I like how everything is a "pale shadow" of a Nintendo game, even when there was an arcade version. Link to video Thanks for necroposting for us, TASVideos bot!
