That's the only cutscene to reactivate chapter 6. Well...you could enter the train from the station like RTA and my tas did, but youd be getting through all of chapter 6. There's no way to start chapter 5 without finishing 4. Luigi1er your idea involves a lot of backtracking so I'm beginning to think it's not faster. Nonetheless I will test it.

The lock on the Sanctum will respawn if the game is set to a point pre-Chapter 6 (or in Ch 6 before that cutscene). The cutscene can be played at least twice, and probably infintely, with no glitchy side effects. This means multiple skips involving triggering Chapter 6 could be done together. Unfortunately luigi1er I don't see how your skip will work unless something else new is found, as you need the Super Boots to open Chapter 6. Maybe Malleo can find something though, and it's a really neat idea! Also Malleo nice work on the Prologue, it looks really optimised.

Really_Tall, your idea does not work because the curse chest is open post-chapter 4. Luigi1er your idea doesn't work because of what Really_Tall said. There's no other way to hit the switches. Thank you, Really_Tall!

Aww. It was worth a shot, and thanks for testing both of those Malleo. Any idea why it's open? I thought it would of been like the Boat Curse chest, where it can be opened post-chapter and retriggers the chapter. Also, does anything odd happen if you collect the Super Hammer after the Ultra Hammer? Probably not but if you want something to experiment with there you go :P

I see what you mean, and I have no idea why it's opened compared to the Boat Curse chest. I don't think anything would happen, but that's a funny idea and a good way to softlock the game xD

I found it is possible to use one goombella buffer to bypass loading zones. This saves 2.7 seconds per time. So I'll save 8.1 seconds from doing this twice in Shhwonk Fortress and once in chapter 2. Although staircase switch skip was found to be faster than a goombella buffer in Hooktail's Castle, this new finding might obsolete that idea. Link to video

I thought of asking whether it was possible to do with a single buffer before but I thought it was a stupid question. Nice to see it happen.

I was able to optimize both Shhwonk Fortress skips with 1 buffer! Right now, though, I'm trying to get HP Drain from the fuzzy battles in order to save a lot of time during the Gold Fuzzy battle. So far, I'm unsuccessful, but I'm determined to get it.

How do you get this HP Drain?

Randomly, you can either receive items from the audience or from a battle if the enemy holds the item. For example, I was able to get an ultra shroom from the audience. Obviously this isn't useful though. Example, if an enemy holds an item (LIKE THIS: http://puu.sh/bYVlv/e7b0364b23.png) then you can get the item if you're lucky. I did manage to have the Fuzzy hold HP Drain without losing any time, so now I'm manipulating RNG to let it drop from the battle so I can get it. There is a 5% chance the fuzzies hold a HP Drain, and there is a 3.33% chance of dropping it after a battle that has HP Drain in it.

Hey, I'm not sure if this can be used, but given how you managed to make a 1 buffer skip, I recall this vid Link to video He seemed to have managed to get past the loading zone without a buffer. Is that exclusive to that room?

That's exclusive to that one doorway. I don't understand why, but you can clip into that wall and not others. I managed to get an alternative to HP Drain, earthquake, which saves 165 frames.

By using the 1x Goombella buffer after the staircase room, I was able to save 4.2 seconds. Overall, up to the room with Atack FX R and the chest, I have saved 1 minute, 17 seconds from my original TAS!

Chapter 1 completed in 32:17.917 This is a savings of 84.467 seconds. Times: http://puu.sh/c25yu/cfbbe915f3.png Improvements: -Shhwonk Fortress 1 buffer skips -Earthquake Manipulation for Gold Fuzzy Battle with bucket and background drop -Hooktail Castle pipe without Koops -Jumping left at the Red Bones timesaver -1 Goombella Buffer to save a lot of time after staircase room Note: The room after Ms. Mowz's room actually has a different layout, so it takes more time to get to the plane panel and to fly. I'll make an encode soon!

I've been thinking. What happens if you tried to reactivate chapters 5/6 while on chapter 7+ (including last chapter and post credits)?

A comparison video? That would take a while to set up, but I'll consider it. Regardless of whether or not I do a comparison, I'll have an encode up by Saturday morning because I haven't finished the intermission yet. I have no idea, but that wouldn't be helpful at all lol.

ti-will_154 found a small timesaver in Chapter 3. After defeating Grubba and going for Yoshi, after talking to Jolene, by going into the vent and setting up the match from the champ room to the left, you can warp to the minor league room and save 3 to 4 seconds.

Since you're using (J), and Flurry superslides work slightly differently, is there any use for that Bobery door glitch, or is that too late into the game?

Too late. It also puts you in the door, not in the building seam. So you would be outside of the building
