Noticed that if jerry gets hurted/shots i the air, he can make a very small boost forward if you jump again. used in level 3-1 after being hit by the first leaf and 4-1 when jump from the nes controll to the vcr.
The last boss cant be manipulated so he still takes time :(
Enjoy

Pretty nice improvements over the last run. I think the slow parts of the old run are no longer visible. I am going to vote yes, though I know of one pretty big possible improvement. I should have mentioned this in the other thread earlier, but I didn't know you intended to make a new run so I didn't. I drew a quick picture for you to show where you can save lots of time; http://img47.imageshack.us/my.php?image=untitled1vl1.jpg. Going this route avoids the slow spider webs, and is a generally shorter route anyway.
They're off to find the hero of the day...

This already looks much better and tighter than the previous run. Hero's improvement may still be worth to implent, but other than that I have no reason to not vote YES. If you decide to redo it later, it would be great, if not, oh well. Nobody is (or will be) perfect from the very beginning.

You can bubblegum through the pipe? The run sounds pretty sweet, I'll watch it later and edit my post.

You could try redoing just the first level, and then paste in the other levels using the TAS movie editor. If you're unsure on how to do it, I could do it for you. Just post a WIP playing the first level again, and I'll see what I can do.

i replayed the first level and it´s 476 frames faster, thanks to hero of the days short cut and minor adjustments. http://www.angelfire.com/crazy/maq/tom_jerry-macK-1-1.zip

Great! If there aren't any other improvements, hopefully somebody should help you hexedit the rest of the video onto it, and delay the current run until either its ready, or the hexedited video is complete.

Angelfire won't give up the file. Post the FCM to microstorage and I'll splice em together for you (or Randil will if he beats me to it :P)

After seeing this version (prior to the shortcut Hero came up with - I haven't seen the new version of that level), I'm less hesitant about supporting this one. If nothing else, thank you for avoiding that cringing wait period in 4-2. I voted yes to the last one, so I will be voting yes for this as well. Although I'm curious... it says in the submission text you actually lost time on 1-3 and 2-3. As these are both boss fights, and I don't see any explanations anywhere, I'm wondering how you lost that time. Is there some sort of 'fadeout lag'-like scenario going on?

You need to right-click save as for Angelfire stuff.

i watched it again and i most have miss calculated, first tom fight i dont think i lose any frame, but in the second i lose 4 frames. mayby the freeze-fade to black after the last hit is a bit random?

I've tried to glue the movies together with the TAS movie editor, but with no luck... It seems that the enemies positions are different, so it doesn't seem like any movie-editing works. You probably have to redo the run from from the level 1-1 movie... Sorry about this, but at least it was worth a try.
