Length of movie: 32219 frames (8m 57s)
  • Emulator used: FCE Ultra 0.98.12-blip.
  • Aims for fastest time
  • Uses no warps
  • Manipulates luck
  • Genre: Action
This movie is 1 minute and 20 seconds faster than Devindotcom's published run due to several new shortcuts and aggressive luck manipulation. For a while I've been wanting to do a run for this game, and I finally found the time for it today.

adelikat: The hash in the movie file points to an unknown rom dump, but the movie syncs on the good dump, so is catalogged with the good one.

Double plus yes. All the shortcuts you took are great, and it was amazing to see the yellow supply in the (second?) last level. It might have been possible to do the fish stage faster by hitting the black ones while eating something else at the same time, but since that level is so unforgiving anyway, I'm just not worried about it.
I like my "thank you"s in monetary form.

Yay for imprevements for old movies! Great job with the luck manipulation and the final battle, you really showed this game the wonders of frame advance. Yes to be published.

Excellent job, hanzou! Very fastpaced, and you did a great job with all the maneuvering. I know it can be difficult moving around on console, but I'm guessing it gets easier with frame advance. Voting YES! :)

Yes yes yes. After I see the first Speedrun from this game I have think it is near impossible to do a faster run. But now this. Great shortcuts. Never know that these are possible in this game. I loved this game as kid. Would like to see too a 2-Player run from it.

I'll answer two things before anyone asks. - I replaced the torrent file after publishing it. (The first publication had a typo in filename.) The old torrent won't work anymore. - This movie obsoletes two old movies. This is because the old, warps-using movie, could still be improved, and the author of that movie was reluctant in making it in the first place. I agree. There is no need for a warps-version of this movie.

0902#nesvideos.Zurreco why does the new Snake Rattle n Roll movie obsolete both the warp and nonwarp old versions? 0906#nesvideos.Nrg because a warp movie is pointless 0906#nesvideos.Nrg it's just "here's how you get the warp" and all the other levels are the same
