Wow some of these things are really unexpected. I always thought it was the consensus in recent years that sidehopping is faster than backwalking. Guess that's not entirely true. And Zora swimming is not faster than backwalking? really? it seems so fast... Don't you gain speed when backwalking/sidehopping with the bunny ears? And backwalking is as fast as using them? Wow... In general I don't like this site very much, since only a hand full of people can contribute hence it takes forever to get some info on it (I would have liked a wiki where you can only post when you are registered better) but that is some usefull information!
Everyone can contribute slowking, in fact weve been trying to get more ppl to. Just come to the irc and ask cosmo how to submit your page

Ah that's good to know. ^^ Maybe you should write it on the page somewhere. I think especially now where you don't have that much content, that would be a good idea... I think I'll do a page on the broken deku stick and Wrong Warp Glitch. So I'll come to the irc channel later. ^^

Its on the bottom of the main page of each game section. Theres a tutorial on how to do it and a template to get you started. Currently Petrie is the only one making MM pages.

Well I'm not going to scroll all the way down on a page I think only contains update-news. Besides there is no information, that you search new contributers and how to crondibute. I don't mean to bitch, I just think it would be a good idea to make it more clear so that the site can grow faster. ^^ I for one have now idelt in the IRC-channel for a few days and have never seen cosmo. Is there any other way I can reach him? PM, email, messanger, smoke signs? :D

You have been on the wrong server? Cosmo has been around and there are pleanty of others that can give you the proper info there. irc.speeddemosarchive.com #zelda When did scrolling down a page become a chore.

It's not a chore it's just that I wouldn't expect something like that there, so I wouldn't (and didn't) look. For the normal viewer it looks like a normal website so why would someone search around for a way to submit stuff? I think it has to be somewhere visible. And how the hell am I supposed to know that there is a specific Zelda channel on SDA? o.O I'm here since 30 pages ago and never once has that come up before. o.O

as buying the magic bean for 100% from the magic bean guy is lame, we should do this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SxqsCyaT3KE&feature=channel_page we gain one explosive, 100 rupees with this trick, because we need 14 explosives to get up there, if you optimize it and we can get 10 bombchus and 5 bombs up there. refilling magic and health is possible as well ;)

clock town to snowhead TAS: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XS0jpjyWsNg contains some new things, that might be useful for a run. maybe for low% MM this could be the way to get to snowhead I also improved the lullaby skip a bit

Curious, is this TAS gonna get started soon? It seems glitch finding has kinda stopped and route is finished right? What's the hold up?

Nice one. You seem to have improved starting a HISS a little. You can't even tell the difference from starting a normal SS anymore. And the last part up to the snowhead entrance looks consideribly faster as in your last video entering snowhead. You don't wait for nearly as many snowballs. Btw. you should really write some pages for the Zelda Speedruns Site. Even I did one today: http://zeldaspeedrun.dreamhosters.com/mm/tech/brokenstick.php

It's the mayors residence and you probably get there because it's map 0. You also get there when yo save at the fake owl in Clocktown. However it is a little strange that you can't move and normally this shouldn't happen. I should have come out in Trmina Field. A buffer overflow or something?

Well, speaking as an outsider, it looks like you're tripping a non-loaded exit so it'd be natural to go to zero or whate'er garbage the object's pointing to. Don't the other WWs usually hit an exit that is loaded (with 3d models and all)?

No they always hit loading zones in unloaded grottos. Only the grotto you are in is loaded. But that's only the graphics. colission-data and loading zones are obviously there or else I couldn't walk or warp out. Btw. warping to Lens of Truth cave from magic beans works without a problem.

Btw. for the 100% route: I know that in the curent route those two things are in completely different cycles, but I think it would be a really good idea to get from magic beans to lens of truth. Just plant the bean you get anyway and water it (water is there and before the boat ride you've gotten a bottle in any case), ride the bean to the chest, backflip on the chest, do 1-2 hovers, megaflip through the ceiling and get to lens of truth with 1-2 mageflips. that is extremely fast and explosive efficient.

mega flipping through ceilings is impossible, sadly. the celing stops the backflip, when link hits it, so link doesn't clip through the ceiling we also think about getting the magic bean from the stone tower ;)

here is it now possible! Wrong Warp with Magic Bean Grotto: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xNRNZMJpaQw&feature=channel_page I also figured out a way to get the number of explosives for the WW from normal pits to Lens of Truth Cave down to 16 or something ;)

Time for an update. I've recently got back into this run, and am at the night of the final day. However, it turns out that using a reset earlier on in the run (after entering Clock Town) is causing a rather serious problem which could slow the production of the run down significantly: It seems to desynch randomly (that is to say, it synchs on some playbacks and doesn't in others) at random points in Clock Town while playing back, depending on whether or not I fast forwarded anything in the run, which also seems to be random. I can't for the life of me get it to work consistently, and I've been trying pretty much all day to do so. The worst part is that the run would actually have two resets (the second one being after I play the Song of Time, to skip the cutscene after it), and I'm pretty sure the same sort of thing would happen then. The only conclusion I can reach is that the version of Mupen I'm using is buggy. So I've decided that I'm just not going to use resets at all. This is probably better anyway, because the Mupen I was using to do the run isn't actually technically allowed, AFAIK, because it "resets the emulator and not the ROM", or some BS, but whatever, it's alright, I'll just go on without resets. It'll cost maybe 30-40 seconds, but there's really nothing else I can do. Aside from that, everything's going great. I smoothly got the necessary rupees from the very start of the game, and everything seems to be air tight so far. Expect a WIP within the week.
