Here it is, an improved run through this game. I have optimized some of the action which was just thrown together in previous runs, but most of the improvement comes from larger changes. I can't believe no one else had ever realized how slow those ladders are. Also, glitch fans will be glad to see another one used.
Well, I actually own this game and have many childhood memories of attempts to collect all the treasures, but I never thought it could go so fast. Enjoy!
Technical details: Uses glitches, uses death as a shortcut, as fast as possible, collects minimal items.

Bisqwit: I think hopper's comment sums the spirit of this movie very well: "Just when you thought this game couldn't get any weirder."
Excellent work. Publishing!

Sorry to keep everyone waiting. The site was down when I finished, but I let everyone on IRC get a preview. It wasn't until now that I had a sec to submit. Thanks for the inspiration, Guanobowl. I ended up getting on a roll and staying up all night making this run. I love this game, so it's been great to timeattack it.

awesome run. The trampolines were a good idea.

Excellent job. I vote Yes. I'm using "Boy and His Blob - Trouble on Blobolonia, A (U)" according to GoodNES 2.01, which has a checksum of 4c7b27f8137015512f81583b4ac96c1b, but FCEU flags the fact that the movie was created with a ROM with checksum 1f2868a357f945ef892b41f2b173. The movie plays fine, and I assume you tested with the same program. Is there a header on your ROM?

Glad to see that someone just made their own run instead of filling up the previous (now locked) forums with complaints. Voting yes.

Hmm, not sure what changes were on the ROM, but it seemed to play every posted fcm, so I didn't worry. Glad everyone like it, as an encore, I'll show this outtake glitch: http://home.comcast.net/~f_amoroso/ABoyAndHisBlob-Outtake-TheAxeMan.fcm

Priceless outtake :) Excellent execution. And that floor bug was really neat too. I haven't played this game myself, so I don't know what's a bug or what's not, but I'm sure that was beyond the scope of the programmers ;)

This game really deserves an award for the worst NES game ever made. :) But as usual, the movie's fun! :)
