Terminator 2: Judgment Day is a third-person platform/action game for Game Boy. It was developed by B.I.T.S. and published by LJN Toys. It was released for the Game Boy in 1992. The game is 6 levels long:
  • 1. Los Angeles 2029 A.D.
    • Destroy generators to disable Skynet shield. Destroy Hunter Killer.
  • 2. Skynet facility
    • Straightforward level.
  • 3. Re-wiring the Terminator.
    • Rewire Terminator's 3 circuit boards. Unfortunately you need to wait timer to finish.
  • 4. Los Angeles 1994
    • Destroy T1000's truck riding motorcycle.
  • 5. Cyberdyne
    • Find items to exit the level.
  • 6. Steel Mill
    • Destroy T-1000.

nymx: Claiming for judging.
nymx: Aside from the discussion thread, I'm always interested in how much a TASer can do, over human effort. As expected, I know that XTREMAL93 puts the effort in and it shows. Yeah, there may be parts of the game that can't be sped up...IE the circuit solving problems; however, The action scenes are very much the spectacle of this run...as precision work is done against every enemy and boss. From my calculations, this appears to be 37 seconds faster than the best run I could find. (None to be found on speedrun.com). Great job!
Accepting.

despoa: Processing...

Another AVGN-reviewed game nailed! Well, the game looks boring. It's disappointing the mini-games cannot be done faster
TASing is like making a film: only the best takes are shown in the final movie.

This is one of those games that even a TAS can't make interesting, the minigame sections with the forced waiting were especially bad. Voting "no" on this one.
Current project: Gex 3 any% Paused: Gex 64 any% There are no N64 emulators. Just SM64 emulators with hacky support for all the other games.
