nymx: Claiming for judging.

nymx: I'm not sure it is worth waiting more time, since Spikestuff has already pointed out the slowness of this TAS. Having asked eladogGames to respond, I realized that its already been 4 days...and nothing.
Here are some things that I want to point out, if you want to be successful on this site:
  • Write up submission details. Not having them will certainly repel an audience.
  • Make an effort to watch the discussion thread. In some case, a conversation can help you along the way to a publication. In this case, it won't...but it certainly is a habit that can turn an "Iffy" TAS into a successful acceptance.
  • Research your game for existing records. Our site actually is a good indication if something is already in existence. The "Quick" search, up in the top right, is the best place to start.
Now for my judgement...
I reviewed the file mentioned by Spikestuff. The work in that WIP, is substantially faster than this submission. Even if it wasn't for the clipping and other tricks, I was able to find simple problems with your inputs. I had found chunks of frames from normal types of movement that can be performed in any TAS.
eladogGames, please make use of our discord channel and/or site forums. I think it would be helpful for you to team up with a willing member to improve your abilities. That way, your next submission can be more successful.
As it stands, I cannot accept this work...since there is already a known WIP that is 1700+ frames ahead of yours. Rejecting.

As a heads up a userfile of this branch already exists which is faster than this submission by 1712 frames.

eladogGames...I need for you take a look at the mentioned "user file" from Spikestuff. I'm going to give you chance to cancel your submission, if you are not able to improve on this or work with the existing author to combine your work. Additionally, there are a few things that I would like to have done on your submissions (future ones) 1. Your encodes can be added to the submission field: "Encode Embedded Link". Please use that instead. Some submissions are overlooked by members, simply because they don't see a video for your work on the inital page. 2. Submission notes shouldn't be omitted. These can be helpful to demonstrate your work and clear up questions that members may have.
I recently discovered that if you haven't reached a level of frustration with TASing any game, then you haven't done your due diligence. ---- SOYZA: Are you playing a game? NYMX: I'm not playing a game, I'm TASing. SOYZA: Oh...so its not a game...Its for real? ---- Anybody got a Quantum computer I can borrow for 20 minutes? Nevermind...eien's 64 core machine will do. :) ---- BOTing will be the end of all games. --NYMX
