I just made my first TAS, and it was Super Mario Bros 1-1. How is it for my first TAS, and is there anything that I need to know? I kind of just fumbled around with FCEUX's TAS Editor until I figured it out because I didn't find the guide really helpful. Here's the run on Youtube. I first saw a video of a person doing a speedrun with a TAS and mario jumping backwards when I was really young. That's kind of what made me want to start TASing. Many years later, here I am, figuring out how to install FCEUX because I saw on a TASing Wiki that it supported it. Also, is there any other way to submit a TAS without putting it as a Youtube link?

It's OK as far as "mario jumping backwards." A submission to the site, however, would need to complete the game and beat the current record, which is probably either this or this, depending on what branch you're going for. Please review these rules before submitting a movie.

It doesn't look like you're playing back a movie, otherwise it would show a number, slash, another number, wouldn't it?
Current frame / Total frames of this movie
e.g.
900 / 1250
So you just played in real time and screen recorded it?
