Save states become very slow even before 3 minutes in. From the beginning, its pretty quick, but as time goes on, it doesnt take long for it to go extremely slow. I was running simpsons hit and run and sonic adventure dx, and the same behavior happens. Running dolphin 50 10888 My computer is an i7 series capable of running vulkan. A windows update seemed to block it for some reason, but before I go test linux, is there any recommended settings? Should I use linux for vulkan to speed it up? Or will that not make a difference in save state saving/loading.

Using Dolphin 5.0 - 8715. Saving and loading takes 1 second (maybe a little less) regardless of how long my Dolphin session is and how many savestates I have already made during it. Separate HDD for gaming, i5 4460, Radeon R9 270, 8 GB of DDR3 memory.
TASing is like making a film: only the best takes are shown in the final movie.

Using 50-11102 on linux, it appears the slowness happens when you don't give the emulator time to catch up. There's an input reader, and once that stops you can safely make a save state. It would be a good idea to slow the emulator down. My computer runs at a little less than 2GHZ so that might be why. I could overclock it, but I don't want to mess with my battery.
