Hi! I'm 100% new to TAS and would like to go into the trap of TAS-ing a fun game I enjoy playing. Since the game I'm aiming for (Cendric - 2D platforming RPG that came out this year. https://github.com/tizian/Cendric2 ) is for PC, I downloaded Hourglass and tried to start the game. Nothing happened, and I'm left with absolutely nothing. My question is: Is there something I'm doing wrong, or is this game not compatible with Hourglass? And if it's the latter, is there another program I can use to get a TAS going? Feel free to bash my short post for potential errors of ANY kind. Since I'm new, I need to get the basics right, right away ;)

Side note: I looked through some titles in here, but I did not find any posts containing this. Most likely (!!) just me being blind, but I'm hoping for a reasonable answer, or a link to the correct thread so IO can read up on t.

It's very likely to be not compatible with hourglass. If the game can run on linux, you can use a tool called libTAS. Otherwise you might have to make your own tool.

[16:08:10] <BenLubar> a TAS is just the limit of a segmented speedrun as the segment length approaches zero
