I searched YouTube and found walkthroughs of every case in this game. After I watched the first case, the game seems pretty interesting. However, AVGN gave a review that trashed the game, so I am not so sure if I want to do a test attempt. How does entertainment play a certain role in this game and what should the audience expect?!

Maybe you're right. But I'll continue the research. I still got school and work to take care of. But if I do start now, it could take quite a bit. My first attempt will be a test run completely through. Hopefully by the end of the second attempt, I might shed more frames off and try to post a faster time. If I am correct, there are 5 cases in this game.

Case 4: [1][2]
Case 5: [1][2]
I will take that information into consideration as I research the game. They brought this up in '06? Let's study the game.

I'll be willing to see if I can collect the exact same clues throughout each case without a lot of manipulation and see if it works that way. Otherwise, here comes several more hours on the computer.

I've decided to TAS the NES Dick Tracy. I know people have wanted the Genesis one, but I've started this one which many people don't like. I (like many people) found out about this game from AVGN. Honestly, I have no idea what I'm doing. So far I am about 1/2 way through the fourth of five levels. I'd really appreciate anything that anyone knows any tips on this or can give me some input.

This is some of the work. A lot of things can be improved, specifically the docks. The damage route isn't very optimized, but it's hard for me to decide between shooting and loosing some frames from ducking and stopping, or taking damage.

I know next to nothing about this game so I won't be able to help but for the others who would be able to help it would be easier on them if you post your input file so that they can see exact frame input.
Also there is already a thread here where there have been a few WIP's and some discussion. Again, I don't know how optimized they are but that would be a good place to start if you didn't realize.

I had seen that topic earlier, but had assumed that it was over the Genesis. I've already found all of it out by trial and error. Thanks for the link. I doubt many people here will know much of the game.
EDIT: Finally finished the game. Gonna get a video of it on youtube and start cleaning it. Time is about 19 minutes. Gonna spend a few days getting some simple optimization in and see if I think it's TASVideos quality.
EDIT2:

Bad quality, just wanted to get something up tonight. Somehow it gained a lot of time.
