Bish, Bash I dungoofed on the previous submission. The judge didn't notice, and I only found out so here is quite the update.
  • Bios: SCPH5500 (NTSC-J bios)
  • Actually on Hardest Difficulty heh, whoops
  • Goes for ingame time NOT TAS time 'cause getting the best level last screws me everywhere

Nobody cares about this anyways, LETS GO TO THE VAULT!
Oh, to the Bizhawk team, Credits are glitched so that's got something going which doesn't want to be forgotten.

Samsara: I still care about Bishi Bashi. Accepting as an in-game time improvement (and difficulty improvement) to the published run.

Wait a second. You say the judge goofed... how? Because a couple things were slower in the old submission compared to the older one? It seems like this is an overall improvement anyway (with Race Or Fall and Totem Shrinker), so earlier judging issues don't seem relevant to me.
Used to be a frequent submissions commenter. My new computer has had some issues running emulators, so I've been here more sporadically. Still haven't gotten around to actually TASing yet... I was going to improve Kid Dracula for GB. It seems I was beaten to it, though, with a recent awesome run by Hetfield90 and StarvinStruthers. (http://tasvideos.org/2928M.html.) Thanks to goofydylan8 for running Gargoyle's Quest 2 because I mentioned the game! (http://tasvideos.org/2001M.html) Thanks to feos and MESHUGGAH for taking up runs of Duck Tales 2 because of my old signature! Thanks also to Samsara for finishing a Treasure Master run. The currently published run was accidentally made on a lower difficulty (IIRC, he went to change the difficulty and accidentally cancelled out instead of selecting), and neither Spike nor the judge noticed it until just now. This submission just corrects that mistake by actually being on hardest difficulty alongside a couple other minor improvements.

Ok, I get it. Also, I misread earlier; it was Spikestuff who goofed, not the judge. Thanks for the response. It's another dose of fast minigaming. The announcer always amuses me when they're this excited about the games. The only one that looked particularly impressive to me is the fourth one (Race or Fall); that seems like a more nontrivial optimization challenge. I'd say it's short enough to earn a Meh instead of a No from me.

the glitch in the credits sounds like bad CD audio, but it's not a CDA track. Then I would say it sounds like broken XA data. I'm sure it's broken in mednafen too if it's broken in bizhawk. Could be a bug in the emulator. From what I can see, it's only been dumped by one person--maybe it's a bad dump. Can someone check in another emulator entirely?

I myself tried in ePSXe and got the same results. To go on further, the CRC32 hash I get with the PSX Disc Hasher does not match with the one on redump.org (090F37C9 instead of redump.org's 2F7737A3), so it may as well be a bad dump. EDIT: So I managed to find a dump whose full CRC32 matches with that of redump.org's. Now come the good news: 1) The movie syncs on it. 2) The credits don't bug up! In the end, the one that's commonly found is the bad dump, but the TAS syncs on the "good" dump. EDIT 2: Note to publishers: I'll encode and publish this movie when it gets accepted.
