Or even just manipulate Mario's position to put him right where you want him.

Then once the door is opened from the inside you would be be the "black room of death" on the outside of the castle right? This is where I am confused... would you then go back through the door and in to the room of death on in the basement, but it won't have water in it? Obviously I am understanding it wrong. Just looking for some clarification.
You would BLJ and be right in FRONT of the door for one frame, then open it and just walk through. Once through that door, you will be standing underwater and on the first frame of movement, Mario will be shot to the top in his swimming animation. There would be no reason to go into either of the BRoD's.
Ah! Thanks for the clarification. I understand now. Too bad when you BLJ in to water your speed is saved until you leave the water. Otherwise you could just get a fast enough blj through the water where the frame after you leave the water you are at the door. Although even then that is a huge gap to warp over in 1 frame. You would need a really good pblj.

It was impossible to manipulate the platform to wallkick directly to the star in the .m64 I had.[/quote]

Using my new strat for Stomp on the Thwomp to get Timed Jumps on Moving Bars ended up being slower because you don't have enough speed to quickly wallkick inside the cage. Though, you are closer to the wall to sideflip and get to the top.

All stars are UWR. It's written in the description.

Actually, SS and I have 6"66 on Roll Into the Cage. We did it last September, but never uploaded it out of laziness.

We waited 4 months to upload Get a Hand. XD Maybe I can encode it soon. But it's basically exactly what you would expect (hence why it wasn't uploaded).

Some Japanese guys are taking care of the wiki. There are some mistakes and missing stars, indeed. And no, there's no way to watch Mickey's video unless he re-opens his channel.

Sorry for double posting, but here's a freerun by me and Anavrin (as well as being my 200th video on YouTube) that features a new lobby BLJ: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=91Qt2kAlLcI

That whole freerun was great, but how is the new lobby BLJ possible? I thought the first part of the lobby (which contains the Bob-omb Battlefield painting) wasn't loaded when the spiral and endless stairs were loaded.

That isn't the new BLJ. The new one is on top of the 8 Star door at 1:45. The one in the beginning of the video was in the "Black Room of Death" behind the keydoor in the lobby. I started the freerun there because I wanted people to think it was the attic and the BLJ would be unexpected...SUCCESS! =D

what the fuck is it optimized? would be fun to have a frame war on it now, with better camera angles perhaps also… could this work on similar walls?

Lol better camera. You can't do shit with the camera in that run, I tried a lot. And I don't claim anything to be optimized with SM64 anymore.
