Well, if you're TASing this, here's a RTS of the game from youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iQ2UzTpXfpU
yeah I saw this before I started haha. Thanks! He found lots of little glitches for all the indoor areas so when I finish all my finals/presentations I may do more of Superman. I need to figure out the ring collecting areas, I see you can skip or miss some of them? Maybe after hitting like 5 or 10 you gain a freebie or something IDK. itll take some testing.

Looks good, solarplex! I'm not sure if you knew this, but if it would save time, you can miss a ring or two on ring stages and it won't count against you. I think if you miss three, it starts the stage over though.

Both good to know! I only looked at one place and found Europe so I think this was PAL. Ewwwww.. He he I'll look for the correct one when I figure out the ring situation. Coolkirby, I knew about it! I was wondering the same haha. I saw the guy in the RTS miss a few. Then by the end stages he was scared to miss some. So I think you're right so now I just have to plan out how to miss my rings wisely.

Yeah, if I recall correctly, you're allowed to miss any two rings throughout the course in each ring section. So you need to figure out which two rings take the most time/largest detour to get.
http://www.youtube.com/Noxxa <dwangoAC> This is a TAS (...). Not suitable for all audiences. May cause undesirable side-effects. May contain emulator abuse. Emulator may be abusive. This product contains glitches known to the state of California to cause egg defects. <Masterjun> I'm just a guy arranging bits in a sequence which could potentially amuse other people looking at these bits <adelikat> In Oregon Trail, I sacrificed my own family to save time. In Star trek, I killed helpless comrades in escape pods to save time. Here, I kill my allies to save time. I think I need help.

Awesome! There's always a couple of rings that take the most turning power haha. I doubt anyone's really mapped out this crazy game so I'll do my best to put this game in its resting place.

You can miss 4 rings total in each ring stage if I remember correctly. A large portion of the planning for this TAS would be finding the 4 most out of the way rings to skip in each stage. By flying against objects (grazing buildings in most cases) in just the right way you can gain an immense amount of flying speed. This happened to me only a few times in normal play but the speed is incredible, I actually went so far so quickly I got lost. I have a "speedrun route" video for every indoor stage which are for the most part optimized as far as skipping the most amount of actions possible. There have been a few new strats to do certain things faster though like simply walking through the solid elevator door in Lexcorp instead of clipping into the wall. I actually started a TAS of this game too, but realized the ring stages would take an eternity. FYI in the first action stage you can kill the mother and steal the baby carriage while beating the mission if you time it just right ;). Looks hilarious. There are a lot of play-around oportunities like that to make this otherwise boring game entertaining in TAS. If the speed flying thing was figured out this run would prob take an hour fifteen at most. The RTA run I did is about 4 minutes off from being clean.

Well, you could both do the TAS together. Of course, you should constantly show WIPs and share thoughts, because, you know, it's team-working. >_>

The idea is to post the movie file too. Also, oblvionwalker, you did your WIPs on Mupen64, while solarplex did it on BizHakw (the recommended).

Maybe its because you haven't installed the prereq files? http://bizhawk.googlecode.com/files/bizhawk_prereqs_v1.1.zip

Make sure when using bizbawk and superman to change video input plugin to glidemk2. That's what I had to do to get it to work
