For an interesting twist, if I were to just look at a smaller segments of a game, Jetpack level 25 has to be the one of the craziest speedy things I've ever seen. The game also frequently has our hero in two places at once doing things, which is speedy in my book. On the other hand though, most of his movement isn't that fast. Then again, the game is being played at ultra fast speed... [2473] DOS Jetpack by slamo in 32:22.55

Bear in mind that "Speedy TAS" is to choose a TAS with extremely fast character movement, not just being a well executed timely TAS. Wiki: Awards

Awarded to the TAS with the fastest achieved character movement speeds (note: this is not about fastest in-game completion time, but rather fastest motion).

I know but it still was completed very fast. I understand it is not about just being optimal. I'll try to think of something else though. [2368] Windows VVVVVV by Masterjun in 13:30.25 [2467] N64 F-Zero X "Death Race" by Lord Tom in 00:29.55 I would still like to keep my Mario vote though.

Wow, at the time of writing more people have voted for jetpack than for sonic advance! That must require a pretty weird definition of speed.
