[1945] SNES Super Mario World "game end glitch" by Masterjun in 02:36.40 This just took one of the most popular TAS games and broke it at a technical level far beyond almost all other games on the site. [2078] SNES Super Metroid "Reverse Boss Order" by Saturn in 46:42.38 Because it's another popular game, done in another seemingly practically impossible way.
http://www.youtube.com/Noxxa <dwangoAC> This is a TAS (...). Not suitable for all audiences. May cause undesirable side-effects. May contain emulator abuse. Emulator may be abusive. This product contains glitches known to the state of California to cause egg defects. <Masterjun> I'm just a guy arranging bits in a sequence which could potentially amuse other people looking at these bits <adelikat> In Oregon Trail, I sacrificed my own family to save time. In Star trek, I killed helpless comrades in escape pods to save time. Here, I kill my allies to save time. I think I need help.

Just as 2011, there were so many mighty SNES TASes last year. Too sad only one can win the award.

Maybe we need silver along with gold awards?

Wow, I can't decide!! Too many good runs this year. I'll go with DKC2 "102%" and both SMW runs. But really, I feel like every single TAS of this list deserves an award!
