An exciting game of R.B.I. Baseball! To quote DootBeep from his run of this same game,
"Grab some popcorn and watch the game!"
  • Aims for shortest input time (and improving DootBeep's run of the same game)
  • Was cooked up in only 2 minutes of hard work
  • SPOILER ALERT! The Boston team wins.
(Note to encoders: Set the emulator to pause at frame 93,706, which shows the run and a few seconds of the ending screen.)

JWinslow23: I have decided to cancel this submission for 2 reasons.
  • Poor viewer response - A lot of people have said no, and only 1 or 2 have said yes.
  • Gameplay goal - I have just realized that this "improvement" "obsoletes" a rejected run. HEAD BONK
It has come to my attention through the TASVideos forum that DeetBoop's run had been rejected long before my idea. I didn't care to scroll down for the judge response, I just watched it, and a few days later, I TASed it and submitted it. Probably would've been slightly better as an April Fool's submission.

Okay, this wasn't funny or clever the first time. No vote.

So can we expect an obnoxious TAS of every single sports/multiplayer game that has a Watch mode/End Game Immediately option or are we finished now?

The input ends at 00:00.48, but the end is at frame 93,706? Dafuq? Also, adelikat already mentioned these run aren't publishable. So why are you doing this?

3231.2:1 encode:input time. The record among published movies is 7.55:1. Impressive.

SmashManiac, I already said that this was an improvement upon DeetBoop's run.
If I could have a tool-assisted real life, I'd... Being a novice, I'd probably load the wrong state, have the IRS AI bankrupt me, and eventually make me want to kill myself and redo 11 years of hard work.

Except that DeetBoop's run was more or less rejected for Goal Choice. It is quite clear when reading the comments on it.

You're right. I am now cancelling the R.B.I. Baseball submission right now.

Strangely enough, this gives me an idea. Is it possible for someone to do a sports game TAS that manipulates the CPU player into losing without requiring input for the player?
