I have a few questions… why was the first boss’s orb collected? is it required to open the door? (I forgot) at 0:17 why did he do the slide thing instead of spamming that other move? and I guess that constant jump-attack thing is the fastest way to attack? I don’t know about Julius but I used to do a jump-attack then land to cancel it and attack from the ground, or attack–backdash cancel–attack; are those slower even if just as the final hit? and do you even need to fight the 2nd boss? it seems like he could just go straight to Dracula

That boss is killed because every boss killed powers up Julius. Without defeating one boss, Graham takes way too long to defeat.
http://www.youtube.com/Noxxa <dwangoAC> This is a TAS (...). Not suitable for all audiences. May cause undesirable side-effects. May contain emulator abuse. Emulator may be abusive. This product contains glitches known to the state of California to cause egg defects. <Masterjun> I'm just a guy arranging bits in a sequence which could potentially amuse other people looking at these bits <adelikat> In Oregon Trail, I sacrificed my own family to save time. In Star trek, I killed helpless comrades in escape pods to save time. Here, I kill my allies to save time. I think I need help.

Boss orbs increase Julius' attack power, without them Graham would take like 10 minutes? Can't really remember how long.

The ceiling is so low that you can't jump there, you need to be in the air to kick.

I actually didnt know you could cancel a backdash into a normal attack. Sadly you cannot cancel an attack into a backdash, which would make this superuseful. On another note, it is possible to save 3 frames on the headhunter door transition by doing on of those super mario jumps just before you hit the door transition.

Kriole: what do you mean not possible to cancel an attack into a backdash? I’m pretty certain it is, at least with the other character, I always do attack–backdash–attack 2-hit combos… but I don’t think it’s that useful, even with TAS I don’t think it can be spammed frame perfectly to get a super long combo, I think 2 hit is the best you can do (or maybe 3)

Well I tried pressing the backdash button while swinging with Julius and it doesn't work. Keep in mind that Julius doesn't really have a backdash, just his dodge-move. You might be thinking of either Soma in this game, or Julius in Dawn of Sorrow, where he actually has a backdash-cancelable swing.

In the Graham fight, would it be possible to end input earlier by using Grand Cross instead of all those axe throws? I'm sure the axes do more damage for a given amount of mana, so the fight would end earlier by using axes... Anyway, it's a solid improvement to an already heavily-optimized movie. Nice work, mtbRc!

Is it normal for Nicovideo to have lots of text (mostly gibberish) stream over the screen at all times? It's rather annoying.

Press the button that looks like 3 dots in a text bubble (in the lower right of the window). Yeah, it's stupid to have the comments on screen. Why they have that by default I will never understand.

I found 1 frame improvement in name entry screen. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/715066022/Julius_name_entry.vbm Anyway, this is a great run. Of course, I vote yes! By the way, I want you to submit your other Castlevania TASes. Especially, Portrait Of Ruin all Bosses and Richter mode!

Very nice improvement. The headhunter strategy definitely looks better, and I noticed a few places where the movement seemed cleaner and quicker overall. Smart handling of the unavoidable damage on Graham as well.

It is that the improvement was in such a place... It is surprise. replace the file of name entry->http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1926299355/mtbRc%20-%20AoS%20-%20JuliusV2_name_ent_fix.vbm I am very thankful to sparky. BTW, PoR AllBoss TAS is due to submit in the near future. but Richter mode TAS is Very imperfect and savedata is also converted, it is due to remake. dsm of all boss which submited then is due to be used.
