I don't suggest to choose hardest difficult, me and Cretino did a test-run until Sodom's boss fight and we got about 567 frames of improvements, but when you fight the bosses you will lost a lot of frames. As example: me and CRetino got about 560+ frames until Sodom playing by hardest difficult, after defeated Sodom we lost about 500 frames, leaving to our just 67. The reason are obviously, yeah we did the test with Guy and Cody and same if we don't used lua scripts or ram adresses we know how are the best method to kill they and the result is Haggar can improve about 15 frames than Guy, but something we saw about that difference between hardest and normal are the enemies HP didn't change, what really changed was the invulnerability from punches and kicks by the normal enemies, this invulnerability increases when you are fighting a boss, so I got this result as an example, you told if you try a run on hardest we will lost few frames but to be honest we can improve the currently normal run by a new hardest, for me doesn't make sense do a run to just see high HPs this isn't bring any entertainment to the run and to who watch. So my suggestion is this, sadly I guess we lost the test-run and you are wrong you can improve a lot of the currently run same if you are going to hardest run you improved 121 if I remember you can do better with Guy, we got about 560 frames until Sodom, but you will lost all these frames when fight the next bosses. I hope you understand and another tip: Haggar isn't the best char if you gonna to bring your run more fast just as update: I discovered some new features which can improve the currently run a lot using Guy. *Edit: You said the differences between hardest to normal will be few, I'm opposite about this argument, I'm saying this because I'm working on this game as normal run and 20secs+ of improvement already was did, a good notation about both difficult differences are the enemies, when you are going to hardest run all enemies appear more faster instead of normal which the enemies appear more after comparing with hardest so I saw my run at first stage and really we lost frames by this difference, my future expectations are about 30/33secs improvement to the currently run. A lot of difference comparing with the currently run no? But don't give up, we can compare my run with your to see about these differences I didn't tested a lot of differences using Haggar cuz the new tricks got many frames as improvement and I got a lot of luck manipulations better than when I tried with Haggar.

Hi, £e Nécroyeur! I really like this game and look forward to watching more of our work in it. Question: Just whatched your wip and was wondering if you would have any advantage in bringing the 2nd character in the begining of the stage. When you does that the character will spawn in the middle of the barrels and can move earlier than the other player, so you could theoreticaly reach the end of the screen faster/earlier, if that would make any difference. Anyway, Keep up the great work.

Thank you for the suggestion! Some time could indeed be saved if a 2nd Player enters the game while it is in progress as you have indicated. However, this sort of exploit is almost certainly unacceptable practice. As an extreme example, the game could be played through with 1 Player (which would be faster), and then a 2nd Player could enter the game just before the final boss is destroyed. I can't imagine that completing the game in such a manner could be considered a "2 Player" run. Perhaps a Judge could elaborate on exactly what sort of rule this violates, or what constitutes an acceptable "2 Player" run.

I see. Well, while I agree with the problem with using the 2nd player just to defeat Belger, entering with the 2nd player during the cutscene is still playing the entire game with 2 players. A help from the judges would certainly be welcome.

i don't see this as any kind of rule breaking,it looks it should be encouraged

I was wondering what happens if a hardest run be submitted and a normal run beat that run? I don't know who will submit first or how Nécroyeur run will be, but my run are already going to beat the currently by a lot of frames more than 1700 frames has been saved around the run and it probably will get more than 2000 frames, well I hope we can compare our runs when we finish them.

I guess the harder difficulty will be accepted instead of the normal difficulty.

Hi, £e Nécroyeur! There's a glitch in Final Fight, 3rd stage, right before fighting the Andores, that could maybe be useful in a two players run. If you stand with one character on top of the dustbin that contains food while the other triggers the cutscene where the Andore grabs one of the characters, you have an interesting glitch. I'm posting 3 movie files: ffight3rdstageNormal: Just for comparison, this is how this part was supposed to be. ffight3rdstageGlitchedSlow: If Haggar is standing too close to the door, the cutscene actually takes longer than it was supposed to. ffight3rdstageGlitchedFast: Now, if Haggar is further to the right the cutscene is interrupted over 3 seconds earlier. Cody has to be in such a position when he lands on the dustbin that when he jumps to the left he get's trapped in something like an invisible wall, so he just can't go to the left. Thanks for sharing this! May I have your permission to use this technique in the TAS that I'm working on?

Be my guest. Edit: Btw, I forgot to mention. The glitch doesn't seem to work if Haggar is on top of the dustbin, so you have to use Cody.

After 7/8 months working, cretino and I finally get the final result. (more than 3k frames ahead from the first run.) My question now is: could make sense submit a normal run here? We did a lot of tests before get a normal run to work and every time the differences between "hardest" to "normal" showed notably differences, also Guy showed the same results to us.
