A hundred years from now, they will gaze upon my work and marvel at my skills but never know my name. And that will be good enough for me.

The teaser looks promising. Looks like the new villain's even more powerful than all previous ones. I wonder why Celestia sends Discord on the mission to capture him... I mean, it does seem like a mistake because it's said that in the end Twilight has to save Equestria. But would be interesting to see Discord actually fight, be defeated or maybe even join forces with the new villain. I don't know who "tirek" is btw, everyone says the face from the teaser looks like him. I never watched G1. It looks like we're going to find out what's inside the mystery box. But as I said in an earlier post, I think it's going to be some kind of transformation item that will empower the mane 6.

The contents of the box have been forshadowed by the toys for months now. Also, I'm a little disappointed that PikachuMan didn't take the bait I set out. Oh well.

Not going to look at that until after the episodes in case it really is spoilerific, but if those toys really spoil the ending, it really makes me facepalm.

So, wait, you're not going to pass by the toy aisle of your local department store so as to not spoiler yourself about a cartoon show made for little girls? That lineup's been on sale for months now. They also did the same thing by selling the Crystal Empire themed toys months before the S3 premire; they even had a bunch of translucent miniatures for sale.

Finland isn't the biggest market for such toys, and such toys are not usually shoved onto your face at stores here. Stores are usually divided into departments by logical categories.

Season 5 will have 26 more episodes. I think the show would last for 130 episodes. Even if FiM is over doesn't mean the end of this generation.

In fact, they are going to continue it for as long as it is profitable, I've read.

I feel a great swell of pity for the production studio then.

I'm crying. Why am I always crying on those season finales... It was just so beautiful. I did expect some epic battle to happen but I didn't expect it to be of this magnitude, this new villain even went and made Discord play for him. I also did expect them to transform like that after seeing those spoiler images long time ago, I just didn't it to be so beautifully done. The first song was absolutely amazing and the second one was the one that made me go here and tell that I'm crying. I love watching this show because of those feelings. I wonder how they are going to top that in the next season. If you ask me, they could definitely give the CMC more spotlight. Otherwise it's going to start becoming repetitive "friendship always saves the day". I think they will have no trouble to continue the show, though, because they will be doing an amazing job always. I can't say I'm too thrilled about Equestria Girls 2, however. I couldn't really care less about it to be honest.

It was a good finale (definitely a thousand times better than the season 3 finale). A couple of things I personally find a bit unlikeable, though (and yes, this is a spoiler, so don't read it if you don't want to get spoiled): So now Twilight's homely, cozy treehouse library has been replaced with a big, bulky, sterile and, let's be frank, ugly, crystal castle. In the middle of the homely, cozy little village where it doesn't really belong... Ugh, I'm not sure I agree with that decision at all. It sticks out like a sore thumb, and it looks like a horrible place to live. Even after the entire season, I still can't get comfortable with Twilight being an "alicorn princess". It still feels artificial and tacked-on, with some episodes more or less forcefully trying to accommodate the fact, while other episodes basically completely ignoring it. This finale didn't help much in that regard. While I appreciate their, maybe intentional or maybe not, self-deprecating reference to Twilight not doing much as a princess, it still just doesn't fit. Her role as a "princess" makes no sense no matter how they try to force it.

Perhaps I was feeling cynical when I watched the last few, but (and also spoilers) Crystal palace? New playset possible. Equestria games stadium (with menacing icecloud?) New playset(s) possible. Super-chaos-emerald*-forms of Mane 6? New figurines possible. Transforming Tirek? New figurine set possible†. Terrorized theater with stage-magician Discord? New playset and figurine possible. Evil bookstand and "Rariot" and evil Rarity? New dress on RD and a crystal suit for Spike? New playset(s) and figurines possible. *I cannot be the only one who thought this. †Gray-eyed but NOT washed-out-colored coats? New figurine line possible.

Complaints like that happen whenever people forget that the show, from the word "go," was created primarily to sell toys. Also when they forget that show is targeted at seven year old girls, and not twenty-something men.

I somehow doubt that the motivation and vision that Lauren Faust had when she produced the show was to sell toys. Sure, executives might have from time to time pressured the creators to introduce ideas just for the sake of selling new toys, and that's annoying. Damn those meddling executives.

Current souces of spoiler infos say that there will be an episode in season 5 dedicated to Twilight's new home. Also something like this could happen. Besides that, I would look forward to the moment that anyone of the cast walks by the leftovers of the destroyed tree and comments on it. That would be an interesting fanfic to read, come to think of it.
