Our mascot is Mystery Dan! Who is he? Mystery Dan, of course! Where did he come from? The township of Zellia, silly! Why does he have cat ears and a tail? I blame Xkeeper and Acmlm. The world may never know. ...Unless it reads these spoilers.

The emulator is: VBA! Important info: there are some bug fixes in the pipeline. adelikat has promised to get a new release out before the competition starts, so that everyone will have the same tools available. Friday 29 October, CET 06:30 (t=0) Competition starts! I will update this post with the game, and other info if necessary (difficulty mode and other settings, what counts as beating the game).
Well, it's the day of the start, so... where is this new version of VBA? Unless you really expect this to use an experimental version...

It is not the day of the start yet where I am... timezone magic! But anyway, I suggest you direct all questions about the emulator to adelikat, I have no insight in how it's going, what the changes are, or anything. He just offered to do it so that everyone would be on equal ground.

I'd request the new emulator version to be posted here so I can get it tomorrow, without having to ask for it on IRC / via pm. Otherwise, I have my doubts with using a new release since you never know when some new glitches slide in... I would suggest to just use an older version of VBA if it turns out there won't be a new release (v21 and v22 are compatible). Good night and have fun!

Also, people should have time to get used to a potentially new emulator.
Oh well, maybe for Dream Team Contest #4.

nobody told me we'd have to work on a game that would make an automatically rejected submission.

Our team is dropping out of the competition. I figured we may as well state this now instead of simply neglecting to submit a file. Good luck to the other teams participating. I blame erokky.

A reminder to all teams, competition is over in ~1 week.

Ehum... I thought you were working on the title screen already, Cardboard? I guess I'll just have to do it myself *sigh*.

What's that?! Someone reached the title screen already? It's clear now, this is an indication the other teams are doing something! We need to hurry!

After some discussion, we have decided to post one of our previous WIPs. We figured since it is so close to the end of the competition it wouldn't hurt. We also found this really interesting emulator option. I was having a little trouble with VBA, so I started browsing the menus, and I found this thing called "Frame Advance". HOLY CRAP that thing is useful! Seriously guys, try it out. We started completely over when we found that. "Frame Advance" is going to save us a good 3000-4000 frames! Just wait until we finish our new video!
