Still look forward to the day where this beautiful game is fully TAS'd, preferably without huge glitches.. a complete run of the whole game ;)

Video removed because it's too long! Didn't know YouTube did that.

Don't know if you've seen it, but here's some of the first disc by some other guy. Very entertaining: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bnEjQxwDnNA

Anybody else interested in a 100% version of this TAS? ;) Just all quests complete.. not necessarily all cards, 100 of every spell, or anything like that.

Watch the first 20 or so minutes of this game's TAS vs FFVII's TAS (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bnEjQxwDnNA), minus the opening scenes. FFVII is just so much... better! I love FFVIII and all, and I really enjoyed watching this TAS, but I'll be danged if it doesn't seem like you're watching text 90% of the time! Appreciate the run and YouTube encodes very very much (:

Amazing hack, but it looks like it'd be really difficult, which is a shame because it looks so nice and is so well done. Video games should be fun. I don't want to play a game only to be frustrated over and over again.

They are TAS's, they're just glitched TAS's.

That run is still glitched. Like I've posted before, this is the most recent true TAS of this game http://tasvideos.org/567M.html

They do?
RPG TAS's do/should. Half of those on that page are under a warp/glitch category anyway. TAS's like this Earthbound run should be under a warp/glitch category as well.

This is a glitched TAS, not a TAS. TAS's go through the whole game. Huge luck manipulation, using the exact right item at the exact right time, cutting a corner within a fraction of a second... that's a TAS. Using glitches to skip over several parts of a game, that's a glitched TAS. I would consider http://tasvideos.org/567M.html to be the current best TAS of this marvelous game.

Is there any non-New Game+ non-glitched TAS run that goes through the whole game in the works? :( Would love to see something like that.. though it's hard to pinpoint an exact point where the game is "complete," but that can be figured out.

Seems to go out of sync somewhere around Bubble Man's stage :( At least the one on webnation's YouTube does.

What an incredible run. Something about this game makes me very happy, its music makes my memory flourish with memories of a nicer time. YouTube link is here (wasn't on the info page): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OAR5r35A2h0

I think it's more entertaining to watch the player play through the game normally in a TAS. Glitches are cool and all, and while they complete the game as fast as possible it tends to lose its charm quickly. :(

I registered solely to tell you how much I'm enjoying the Mega Man 8 TAS thus far. Something about this game to me... all the music just kind of triggers memories, even though I didn't even play it that much. I can't wait to see this in full! :)
