Yes, it is very touchy. Not hit box related, but the Commodore 64 has a built in sprite collision detector for when active pixels touch each other.

You can just upload the replacement movie file to the "User File" area and provide the link to it in this thread. Once you do so, I'll make the replacement.

Its against site rules for me to provide any information on the location of rom downloads. However, I can give you confirmation on the correct rom usage. BizHawk 2.9.0 is giving me a green check mark, as confirmation of the hash of "Brain Lord (Japan).sfc". If you are seeing the same in the bottom left of the emulator, then we have the same rom. Additionally, I tried on another computer...thinking there might me something wrong with the one that I confirmed your run on. I also get the same desync. If it is not desyncing on your end, then my only other option is to get a confirmation sync from another judge.

I'm not really sure. Not all of them are TAS worthy. I'm basically picking out the ones that require more skill to play. There are 3 more that I have been working on that will be shocking though. I'm currently waiting on DrD2k9 to finish a request before I submit one of them.

Houston...we have a problem. ZorarkGX, your inputs do not take the game all the way to the credits. Can you check and confirm your submission file? If you have a replacement, please upload it top the WIP area and inform me.

I've updated this movie with a version that cuts 403 frames off, due to a jumping technique that I missed. I will get a new encode later.

Ok...I'm making a post in this thread to indicate that I have taken the last few weeks to get this movie completed. The original issue of optimization was corrected, but in order to satisfy a complete movie, the game needed to be played on Levels 1 through 12. Level 13 starts right back at the beginning. Address 0x3C is the level indicator and can be manipulated to confirm this complete loop.

There seems to be some debate on whether or not that this run should either "Obsolete" the existing NTSC run, or become another branch...relating to PAL. In order for me to finalize my judgement, I would like to hear more opinions on what direction it should take. I'll give this a few more days, before finalizing this submission. As it stands, if we accept as two different branches...why? We can already see that the PAL version is dramatically different in sensitivity to earlier changes. Those changes, would definitely warrant a different set up for ACE. With NTSC, this doesn't happen. Is this different enough to warrant that new branch? If ACE is not a consideration, what about the game's region? The game is essentially the same, on the presentation layer, but with that piece of information only...should it be enough to warrant a new branch. This would basically be categorizing timing differences that allow unique things to their own region. In this case, inputs are affecting the game, where this couldn't in NTSC? The only other option I've been debating is PAL's ability to directly beat the NTSC TAS. Do we think it matters that the game's regional differences separate them enough? So please post your thoughts and ideas here in this thread please. If I don't get any feedback, over the next few days...this will be my current thought: We can accept what we have, and obsolete the NTSC version. Later on, if we have convincing evidence to have them run in separate branches, we could go back and unobsolete the NTSC version.

The reason for your higher frame count, is that you didn't truncate your input file. I will take care of this, since I'm judging it. Just remember in the future to trim your movie before submitting.

I have reached out to MrTASer and informed him on the optimization issues. Plus...at the end of Level 1, the layout changes...thus more unique content must be included. I'm going to continue working on this. Once I'm done, i'll set the submission back to "New" and let another judge take over. Besides all the issues that need to be addressed, I do think this game is nice and it hold to the classic versions we are used to see from this console. I do want to point out that this is not exactly a "Homebrew", yet a port. Yes vote anyway.

I need help understanding a command line prompt issue. I had a setup that runs a batch file to open up multiple instances of Bizhawk. Well, I moveed over to Bizhawk 2.9 and I couldn't get it to work anymore. I went back to 2.8, and now the problem persists. Is something getting written to a registry that would affect this? This is really depressing, since I can't understand why this won't work anymore. The synopsis is below: I'm using this command line: EmuHawk.exe --lua="C:\XXXXX\BOT.lua" --movie="c:\XXXXXX\Movie.tasproj" "C:\XXXXX\romname.rom" The problem is, when the emulator is brought up, TASStudio is making me convert the loaded project over to a new one. "Cancel" just stops the process. "Yes" or "No" just does it anyway. This newly created project doesn't have savestate information or markers. How can I get around this? I've tried using Powershell, but for some odd reason "SendKeys" will not activate the menu options (I tried on other applications and it works).

That was the first thing I thought of. I've had some C64 games that upload faster than my TAS length, but I also see games like Krusty's Super Fun house take hours on end for something that is about an hour. How do you guys manage internet interruptions and other problems? I am all for an encode...because of archiving, but I also see that a full round of work here is also a MASSIVE challenge...even though that game is not at all desirable to me. I do congratulate CPP on this effort, and I will say the same for the rest involved with getting this submission completed.
