Has anyone thought of doing a new game+ for a video of this game. Once you have cleared the game getting all the chaos emeralds you can start a new game which includes moniters that instantly turn you super, give you 50 rings and in the case of mighty gives you all the shields. You wouldnt have to bother doing the special stages and you would be able to use super abilities throughout the entire run. I know making these type of runs are few and far between, I remember a discusion based on doing this in S3&k but never saw it take off. Since this is a TAS of a game that is a hack anyway I thought I would bring it up.

Alright I figured out what the problem was, I was using the wrong version of the emulator. I must have had an older version, I got the improvement7 version and it worked fine. thanks alot.

yeah I didnt patch the rom myself I just dl it. when ever I tried that I got some 6MB file with a bad checksum it did the same thing with like 3 different ips patchers including the one the super demo world site recomended. but it is still possible I have a different version of the rom, although it works perfectly for the first 2 levels and then just messes up partway through the third level. I will try checking those different options and see if that is the issue, btw thanks for the quick reply.

first of all I apologize for registering just to ask this question. I visit this site frequently but have never had a problem till now. I really am at my wits end with this problem. I have downloaded and watched the avi and am in awe by this video but I can not get the .smv file to play without desyncing. It gets to the third level and then mario dies while jumping past a green pipe under the flower chomper when the timer is at 293. No matter what I have tried it messes up in the exact same place every time. I have watched several .smv's in the past and have never had problems with desync unless I try to do other stuff while it plays but it doesnt repeat when I watch it again. has anyone else had this problem or know why it happens and how I can fix it. thanks in advance Mr. Physics
