how long does a game need to exist before it is acceptable as a TAS candidate? this game is really well put together and a TAS could work wonders with the way the dog moves: https://goodboygalaxy.itch.io/goodboy-galaxy-gba

hey all, sorry to bump an old thread but i recently bought the legacy collection for the switch, and while grinding navi encounters in mmbn2 i noticed that movement on slopes appears to be faster if you DON'T hold the run button has this been previously noticed anywhere else in the thread, and is it just placebo? it doesn't seem to be mentioned in the published movie's notes, at the very least

I can remember having a ton of fun as a kid with spectravideo's ninja (available here, along with many other titles: http://www.samdal.com/svsoftware.htm). It was relatively fast paced and would make a good candidate for a TAS

the discord group for speedruns has found all kinds of neat tricks that would be a good baseline for a tas: https://discordapp.com/invite/Jndkzu7

I've been watching a speedrun of contact and it's so incredibly reliant on RNG for a decent run, it seems like something that could really benefit from a TAS

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1659894998/failsafe/description This is a game that a friend of mine is working on as the lead programmer, and it looks incredible. Called failsafe. Imagine a mixture of mirrors edge (with much simpler controls!), shadows of the colossus, and maybe some Prince of Persia stuff thrown in. Features voice work by dante basco and ashly burch, and has people on the team who were involved in mgs4 and journey amongst others. Consider giving this some support, I’d love to see them succeed!

I'm surprised neither of the golden sun titles have gotten any love around here

if anybody does plan to pick this up, Ross Miller should definitely be contacted for tips [he's the one jlun2 posted a youtube link to a few spots up], i helped him figure out some strats and item usage stuff, he'll have a lot of info to impart if he's bothered to catalog it anywhere

:p Now let us see you build a perfect german sentense. Mugg you are out of this one. :D
I was about to say, pointing out spelling/grammar mistakes to a lazy native speaker is one thing, pointing them out to someone who has it as a second language is another.
one would figure that in the latter case, it is actually beneficial
