No one has posted a planned route yet. Currently, COEL625 is working on finding a way behind the door or out of bounds in the Chum Bucket to possibly skip the 75 spatula check. It's not known if it will even work, but that's why we're testing it.
Is there a walk thru walls code? Maybe we can use it to check. :)

In the final boss battle(s), the Bubble Bowl is only necessary for one of the brain holes, and the Cruise Bubble can be skipped entirely. So if we could beat Robo-Sandy and go to the Chum Bucket with 16 spatulas, we might be able to Bubble Bowl Boost into the door. Again, this hasn't been tested yet.
Nice!

Which Dolphin revision did you use to make this?
I believe its 3. um....something. I don't have my laptop atm, so I can't check. Sorry. =/
Edit: I forgot to mention this, but the .dtm syncs fine if you don't load a savestate during the movie. If you made a savestate during the battle, closed game, played back the dtm, and reload the state, there's a high chance the boss behaves slightly differently.
Just curious, but exactly what is the planned route for the run?
Edit:
Does the Robot Spongebob battle level get triggered by going behind the door, or pressing A with 75 spatulas?
Good luck. According to the current submission's text, you must arrive at Bowser's castle 38 frames earlier to save any time. :o
What's more, the next possible Bowser Quick Drop manipulation would require getting to Bowser 17 frames faster than our best time (38 frames faster than this submission).
I'm either considering a perfect hit run (All kill), or a time attack run (Avoid lags in-game)
Of course, that may be too complicated for me.
Here's a suggestion: Don't do speedruns/time attacks/what on autoscrollers. It's usually very boring. Try to make a playaround like the Gradius run. :)
Could someone please help me find the addresses for Kirby's speed in Top Ride? I've been trying to find it, but when I thought I found it, editing the said address does nothing to Kirby.
turska, this submission had 56% of total votes being "Yes", and it still gets accepted? Makes me wonder what does reasons like: "Rejecting due to poor audience feed back. " even supposed to mean. :P
Btw, your reason for acceptance seem to disregard the audience's opinions, but whatever. :P
Everything here.Bird WeekBattle City 2-player PlayAround
Why playaround? It was discovered that the fastest way to beat the game is to NOT shoot any enemies until they fill the screen, then grab a certain bonus to blow them all up, therefore counting as "0" kills in the results screen, saving loads of time. This is insanely boring to watch 35 times, so a playaround or some run that disregards this would be the best.
It took me a while, but here's video of 2 laps in GRASS:

Both of the TASes are not optimal; I did both in around an hour just to compare which star is faster.
which to me translates as: “what he did with a frame could’ve been done with a sub-frame”, and if you want to invalid a movie simply on a small timing mistake, then I think the whole site would need to be shut down :\ no emulator is perfect and none might ever be… they’re bound to have a few small timing mistakes, but as long as everything done on an emulator is actually possible (even with slightly different timing), then the movie is legitimate in my opinion
obviously if adelikat actually meant that what’s done in the 20′ run is impossible on console no matter the circumstances, what I just said is moot (and the run should be removed from the site, or something)
Well, actually, it translate to me as while it is possible on a real console, it is "invalid" as it relies on the fact that SNES9x takes 2 frames to save while on real console, it takes only 1, so the previous run can be considered "impossible" using only frame advance.
Previous run shouldn't exist in the first place, because it's based on emulation errors, if i interpreted adelikat's post correctly.
I think adelikat just meant that the save corruption timing would've been different on an accurate emulator, not that the whole movie is due to emulation inaccuracy...
Actually, he wrote this:
If you are talking about the currently published 20 minute movie, this will have to obsolete it. It is the same glitch done better. More importantly the currently published movie has been proven invalid! It relied on the fact that saving takes 2 frames, and so reset can happen after one frame and corrupt memory. But it only takes 2 frames because snes9x is inaccurate in its emulation, it should only take 1, thus sub-frame reset would be required to corrupt ram.
Why do you "own" the GB player if you don't have any GB games? Haha
That's why I wrote "own". I don't actually have some of those games at the moment, but instead, I burrowed dics from my relatives and dump them on the wii. :P
My collection of GCN/Wii games that I "own":
GCN
GHCE4Q
GGZE52
UGPE01
GQWE69
GKYE01
GZLE01
GLME01
GP6E01
GQPE78
G8ME01
GPVE01
GC6E01
GXXE01
GK2E52
GMSE01
GALE01
Wii
RJIP6M
RMCE01
RM3E01
RB4E08
R85EG9
RSBE01
RHAE01
RSPE01
Good luck figuring out what they are, since some don't "exist" in redump's .dat files as noone dumped them yet except probably me :P.
Ok, after trying for a long time, I conclude that the "Free Star" is slower than the "Steer Star" because it takes longer to turn.
Todo: Post video evidence WITH audio sycn.
and the above has made me wonder about another point: what happens if you list an author that’s not a registered nickname on TASV?
I listed an author who isn't registered in the site for the Telefang TAS, so I'm sure it's ok. But you should ask an admin or site coder for more details.
Also, if this gets rejected, what will happen to the other run? Since the other run can't actually be done, will a glitchless run obsolete it?
