Author uses the non-final build for the title much like with this other submission...
Final version carries this information:
SHA1:AAF893AE99D80AAA280ACE408E99313B2140B972
MD5:079F2159449E1F47B94A4BF907203CC4
Author is using:
SHA1:68D17036F1EA13330E598B49E57A1E4DF926E2C3
MD5:CE76EA0DE5AEA02136FA42334C97D173
Which is weird considering your wiki comment.
There are differences, so every stall that the author does, can probably be avoided. Even if the author started the game a frame or two late.
Abstained vote, purely from the stalling that the author had to do.
In that case, I would like to have my submission cancelled. I had no idea I was using an incomplete version. Thanks, Spikestuff, for pointing this out

I'd like to sign up as an individual! I've never tried one of these before but it sounds great! If anyone wants me, I'm here, but I'm fine to be randomized as well :]

1) You can start the game 5 frames earlier (on frame 352) and clear the intro text faster (on frame 375). This will get into the first stage faster.
2) As you've already mentioned in the submission notes, killing unnecessary enemies adds time to the run due to the end-stage score tally. You kill an unnecessary enemy in stage 1. This can be removed and improve the time.
3) It's not intuitive, but in the Space-Shooter stages shooting actually delays the end of the stage. I'm not sure exactly why this is the case, but I'm guessing that shooting somehow affects the game's autoscroll code. So I'd recommend eliminating all shooting in these stages (except the final one which obviously require shots at the end to finish).
4) There are also a couple places where movement optimization can be improved (jumping over one of the volcanoes in stage 2 for example).
1) Fixed that, was easy enough
2) Impossible to fix without slowing down. If I don't kill the enemy, it'll shoot me and I won't have enough health to kill the boss
3) Easy fix as well. Can't believe I missed that
4) I've tried my best to improve movement.
I have uploaded a replacement file, which is an 80 frame improvement in all.

I've come across a couple details that will improve this run. None of them, at this point, would result in rejection. But I wanted to check with you and see if you wanted to implement these things before this submission is fully judged.
Specifically:
Unfortunately, changing the above stuff will impact movement sync so some movement improvements may not still be valid after resyncing. Hitboxes are weird in this game.
Just let me know if you want to update the run before it's judged, or if you want it judged as is.
Thanks for letting me know, I'll try to fix these problems so the best version can be judged. Thanks!

Thank you so much for taking over from my WIP. This is about as much optimization as I hoped there would be.
I just wish I could better understand how those ledge boosts worked.
Thanks man! Put a bunch of hard work into this TAS, so I'm glad it shows and meets your expectations!

Just out of curiosity: are the following loops harder? Apparently the enemies move a little faster. (don't worry, this isn't a problem for the acceptability of this submission)
Yeah I think it's just enemy speed increases, nothing fancy

I was watching through this one and noticed stopping to kick the dogs in stage 1. I tested out if it was possible to just jump past them and sure enough I was able to get through. Not sure if this would mess with the timing of other obstacles later in the game, though.

Haunted Castle - brutally hard Castlevania game. Would love to see it TAS'd
Heated Barrel - sidescrolling shooter. Realky underrated in my opinion. Only bad point is the horrible depiction of Native Americans

Mr Bean on the DS
No I am not joking
It's a 2D corridor platformer starring Mr Bean (his cartoon form to be exact) The aim of the game is to save Teddy from a cat by collecting cat treats, whacking moles (optional) and getting to the end of every level. Basic is an understatement. The bare minimum required to be a platformer. Also kinda buggy. In one of the levels I got zipped upwards through the ceiling. Couldn't get past a locked door by doing this, but it's still interesting. I would do it, but my laptop chugs when doing DS games so I'll give it to you guys

Circuit Beat, Rally de Africa and Rally de Europe
Three PS1 racing games. All made by a company called Prism Arts. These are the only three games that they made. Rally de Africa is easily the best of the three, so I'd like to see it (and perhaps the others) TAS'd
Also that Bomberman racing game for PS1, can't remember what it was called

Yeah honestly you're completely right. I am very new to TAS-ing in general. The TAS was made in a day and I just wanted to make a quick TAS of a short game. I am not surprised by this, I am sorry for wasting everyone's time.

Hey so I was searching through all the movies on the site one by one, 614M is fine, 615M is fine. But 616M displays an error page? Was there once a TAS on this page and it got overwritten? Or is there something really obvious I'm missing? (Because that's usually how it goes)
