dang SFII is in the vault? I fricken love this movie. I used to come to tasvids a lot more like 5+ years ago, and I don't remember ever having to find the movie in a separate category. Maybe just put a disclaimer up for us old timers who have no idea what is going on

thank you SO MUCH for doing this, and thank you to the community for accepting it! I totally get the joke with the negative sounding submission, this scene has had its panties in a bunch about LoZ forEver and its high time we get to have a published 100% run! THANK YOU!

this run is amazing!! seriously the best, my new favorite TAS. I've had a version of this game from 2007 or 2008 on my hard drive that I'd watch all the time when I had no internet and this is like a thousand fold improvement! AMAZING!

Just wondering : how would people feel about a 100% run (sidequests, references to previous games)?
I would personally love to see a 100% version, although given the amount of debate on other games' 100% runs (Legend of Zelda in particular) I'm not sure it would fly with the judges . I would watch the hell out of it though esp. since PS IV is one of my favorite games. great job on the run as usual!

Heyo TASers, So i've been playing Zelda Challenge: Outlands and am absolutely loving it. I was looking up information on it and I stumbled upon the creators site and read about his new project to make a Link to the Past hack. http://www.questforcalatia.net/Zelda3C/ Anyways I don't have anything at all to do with the project and just started playing outlands today but as I was reading through his site I noticed he has a request for any interested and knowledgeable parties to contribute information about the programming and rom information. I debated posting this but I have decided to just in case there were any other Outlands fans who were both unaware of the project and willing to help, simply because a high quality Outlands caliber LttP hack would be truly badass. He's also looking for people to assist with music and graphics which could be fun and helpful. and I guess while I'm here I might as well ask if there are any super high qual Zelda 3 hacks anybody is familiar with. I guess I could google it, and probably will but since I'm already starting a thread whats the harm right? Word well thanks for the consideration, this is an unsolicited message I just thought I'd try to help the guy out, mainly because I want to play the game whenever it's finished.

In any case you could compare it to whatever you wanted! TAS is like a lot of bees! There's a lot of them!
I can't remember who said this but that about sums it up, in my opinion.

I like this movie, because it showcases strategy when it comes to picking which stars to get. However, I would much rather see a 70 star run because: •It is not an arbitrary goal, it is what the game intended. •There are so many time-saving tricks to perform it would be an incredibly fast movie despite collecting so many stars (I am in favour of using BLJs - just not to warp through doors) •The time and research to develop the fastest route would be perhaps the most interesting part of the movie •It would mean that tedious or boring stars would obviously not be in the movie due to the fact that there are more than enough quick stars to get. Basically I feel that 0-star showcases the absolute maximum breaking point of SM64. A 120-star run showcases the game in its entirety, and a 70-star run would showcase route planning and level maneuvering expertise. However I lack the hardware to TAS so i'm just sayin is all...

Great run! I'm curious, in 1-2 why you used the potion and entered the door. Can't quite figure it out, and I figured I might as well post on the forum incase anybody else is ever curious. Ad?

I would personally be very interested in seeing a 100% run. The terms seem pretty straightfoward, I guess the player would be forced to collect the 255 rupies before spending any to buy arrows or rings or anything. I definitely think collecting maps and compasses should be part of it, I know compasses are lame annoying and useless, but I'd love seeing the maps get collected and it only makes sense to include compasses.

An improvement would blow my mind! Any spoilers for us eager Dragon Warrior fans? Just general optimization or will there be new routes/tactics? At least do you have an ETA? Excited!!

Ah, that would have been my first guess. Never knew that. Thanks for the insanely swift reply, and for a kick ass and apparantly timeless TAS (After posting I happened to note I had the first comment since '06!).

Amazing movie! I started watching it again (after watching the newly published speed demos archive DWIV run) and am still blown away by it! One quick question though: In the first chapter, after you get the flying shoes, you walk a considerable distance before encountering the Sizarmage which you use to deathwarp out of the dungeon. I plodded through all of the praise on this forum and rereread your comments and am still at a loss. I'm positive a player of your caliber wouldn't allow an unnecessary time waster like this, so could you explain it to me please? Still, breathtaking run Adelikat!
