To answer your question, no, targets can't be phantom hit. the hitbox is different for characters and targets. Also, no one has ever, ever, done a phantom hit in 14 years of BTT yet.

I know but you can't deny it's a great frame.

yeah that would be a great idea. I had all of my videos stocked in an external HDD here but all of a sudden it corrupted a couple weeks ago and I lost everything that was in it, including all my TAS videos.

The main problem with submitting Super Smash Bros. stuff here at TASvideos is the fact the viewer can't make his mind on what he wants to see. There are many sub facts that makes submitting a TAS of the game a loss of time in here, such as: -A superplay won't show many glitch because they are very specific, not general. You can't abuse one glitch to an endless end. -People have a different view on the game and hit me for saying this, but most people here think they know a lot about the game while they know nothing. And it's true that from an external point of view, melee TASes may look boring, no matter how hard the TASer tries. -There is no specific goal. There are other reasons I'm forgetting. However it's always a warm welcome to any SSBM TASer on Youtube, we have a good croud of viewers =).

Hey rog, I'd like to TAS this game as well, can you help me out setting up the memory position of mario (X and Y)? I finally managed to get no issue with TASing, thanks to renebalow who just sent me his dolphin =).

Ah okay I get it. It's the dolphin icon of 12mb that's inside the usual dolphin revision. Thanks!

When I download your official build for x64, it tells me "The program can't start because SDL.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem." I'm obviously missing something there, but I have no clue what it is.

Thanks but I didn't read anything on it. I'm obviously missing something.

I have never gotten a crash in nsmb =/ Also, you've tried playing back from the start? Because it usually syncs fine with read only, but desyncs constantly when played from the start.
Uhmmm. I'm trying to use revision .617 to record a TAS on the game, but the replay keeps on crashing on the first input. Any advice? switch back to .516?

Just in case, I have the PAL ISO of NSMB. Yes, I replayed from the start and it succesfully synched. I was attempting frame-perfect moves to make sure it was synching, and it worked well at the top of it. Again, it's when using the sensor that the file desynchs.

Well, everything that's not in-game can't be TASed just by using re-records. When I did, it crashed. Therefore, I put down the few inputs I had to do to TAS the menu screen all the way until I get to stage 1-1, and after then I could use re-records without any problem.

Uhm, well I actually managed to TAS Super mario Wii. My desynch occured only when I was using the sensors.

I'm very interrested in doing this game's TAS but the Wii TASing isn't yet perfect, even though it's greatly improving. The problem is when it comes to input about the Wiimote sensor, the replay will simply desynch. For now the only possible Wii games to TAS are those who don't need anything about the Wii sensor.

Most TASers use either ntsc GALE-01 or the PAL version, because most melee TASers are PAL. To know if your file is GALE01: open dolphin right click on melee propreties info tab game ID

Someone needs to tell me right away when it gets good, because how fun it's going to be to TAS Wii games, seriously.

Thanks! I just downloaded that 516 revision you recommend. I highly doubt it, but did they fix it so TASes can record the wiimote sensor?

Soooo... After a good 4 months without checking out this thread, can anyone tell me what's new with dolphin? Is it becoming more stable? What revision should I get for the future TASes?

Here we'll have a bunch of people not knowing what they will be talking about, I better grab some popcorn. My 2 cent is: This is legit, but how 100% boring. TASing is supposed to show inhuman play, which this fails to provide. I shall vote no.
