It helped a bit, but the point is you don't really have to use cord in order to get an optimal run. After first meeting Sherry in Scenario B, you just have to avoid going straight into the Library and the zombies wont break in... ive tried that myself. Anyway im going to wait for Mothrayas to pronounce here and see what he thinks. About movie ending, should i record input until write progress to memory card then, right? I think thats the proof i need to start Second Scenario using SRAM (if my movie is accepted ofc). EDIT: I have found this comment from a user at GameFAQS forums which makes totally sense of what ive said earlier
Using the cord in Scenario A leaves the windows blocked in Scenario B, but it has no strategic value whatsoever. If you're playing right, you should never have to return to the now zombie infested hallways. The break-in during scene B happens "earlier" if and only if you enter the library at anytime during that scenario. DO NOT enter the library at any time until you are ready to get the last two puzzle pieces you need to exit the station. That means if you are in the 2F lounge on the west side of the building and you need to get to the interrogation room on the east side, you aren't allowed to take the Library as a shortcut...you have to back track the way you came.

Hey guys, I have one question regarding a recent TAS Project ive been working for Resident Evil 2 (GC) in the past few months. I just finished Scenario A with Leon and would like to know if i have to stop the movie right after pressing last game input or after writing the progress to memory card since theres Scenario B to work later, or maybe just keep going and record it in the same input... same movie file i mean. I cant tell for sure if the first Scenario is going to be accepted for publication or not, so i would stick with first option. Thanks

Hey guys, my audio is not dumping to AVI with 4.0-1857 (using x264vfw codec and yes the dump to avi option is checked), also everytime i exit dolphin that option is unchecked again. I tried recording my movie file with 4.0.2-avsync and it dumps fine, but my input desynced.

I'd like to work with someone on TASing this game, so I don't miss out on any other potential frame savers like that

No disrespect but you sure you want to tas this game? It's incredibly slow paced.
Yea im sure, i really like tasing RE games, also the movie is not in fullspeed because a/v sync hack is not working on Dolphin 4.0 yet, so im unable to encode better than this.

My theory on TAS'ing this game, since you have two characters is controlling both characters at once (Analogue and C sticks), while being away from each other (in separate rooms), swapping between them when you need to open a door (or pick up an item of importance) and continue onward... meeting up when necessary (or even dropping the item at a point when you know the other character is going to cross it later?). I suppose you'll be doing something similar? or? Also, can you make encodes of your WIPs. My computer can't run dolphin at 60fps and I would like to offer my suggestions without having to watch the movies at 5 fps :P
Yes, i used C stick once using TAS Input to approach the other character in the stairs, it was pretty simple though. I will be encoding and will post link here asap.

I don't think you can control the other character if they are not in same room, I think. I know they can be attacked if left alone and will not be able to change the room they are in.
Correct.

I don't know much about RE0, but I'd be glad to run your dtm files to verify them, and perhaps check if I can save frames in some parts. Are you going to use the gamecube or wii version?
I'm using Gamecube version and i will upload the dtm later so you can check it for me, i dont know how to save frames without having to redo entire movie.

I'm TASing RE0 and i would like some suggestions or tips/tricks about that game, i'm trying to do it as precisely as i can do. It's not my first time tasing a RE game, but RE0 was the least i've played. Right now im at Giant Scorpion boss, about 20k frames.

Hello, I've been watching some PSX videos and i saw they are encoded in MKV format, i would like to know what program do you use for that and how to let them as small as possible. I am using kkapture, but it only has the AVI format. Thanks. Sorry for bad english
