More Wii desync diagnosis fun:
After reading the Dolphin 2503 update I was excited to see the recording of Wii controls was improved.
I still get desyncs unfortunately.
Some variables I have found may or may not be the cause:
Resolution changes definitely affect sync.
Gameplay speed may affect, but I can't say for sure.
Reloading a savestate may affect.
Deleting the Banner and System files from the Wii Save folder may affect.
Here is a run up to just before Del Lago.
The first desync point comes at about frame 135306, a kick prompt is missed and Leon is subsequently killed.
The next possible desync is about frame

Sync attempts:
Loading save state first time in session synced.
Reloading the same save state desynced, multiple attempts. Deleting save folder contents didn't help.
Closed Dolphin. Deleted save folder contents. Opened Dolphin, played .dtm. Loaded before desync. Successfully passes desync points.
Closed Dolphin. Deleted save folder contents. Opened Dolphin, played .dtm. Savestate before desync, frame 130000, continue. Desync.
Load state frame 130000. Desync again.
Closed Dolphin. Deleted save folder contents. Opened Dolphin, played .dtm. Load state frame 130000. Desyncs.
Load state frame 130000. Desync again.
