Hey, does anyone have any suggestions to help me with flying inside blocks? In a TAS I am working on I have a cape and corner clipped into a block and have to fly left. the row of blocks is rather long and my goal is to see try and stay in the blocks as long as possible, if not for the entire time. Is there any RAM address that could help with knowing when you can cancel the air catches? The tip I have been given thus far is that doing a dive, so that when you catch air you fly extremely high, would be best for when first entering the block. I haven't done this yet, I was trying without the dive but looking at the next obstacle I will have to do it with a dive anyways so I will redo that part. However, with what I tried I ran into three problems. The first, not knowing when to press X to cancel the air catch. The second, not knowing how fast I could go through the blocks. The third, I have managed to cancel air but then I get stopped by the following block, and if I wait an extra frame to catch air I cannot cancel, or sometimes I will hit the barrier then if I were to wait a frame or two I fall through... Any suggestions would be much appreciated, thanks. EDIT: Also, I was having trouble with the Ghost Lua that shows frames ahead during the run and has the SMW_Utils in it as well. Can anyone provide me with a download for a fresh download? Thanks.

hey, is there a current 100% being made of this game, and/or is there one published? im thinking i kinda wanna try something other then a 2D game to tas, and this is one of my favorite 3D games so i thought, why not?

with layer switch glitch you can, i thought i already showed you that :P but you just cant get out of layer switch glitch which is the one problem. and as for sprite overload, i cant seem to figure out how to.

is it possible to jump off a p switch without losing momentum? i was once told you could if you got 49 speed the frame you jump off it or something like that, but when i tried i could not get 49 speed on that frame (since i have to hold y which makes me grab the switch,) yet when i got 49 speed the frame before that, i would lose my momentum :/

well two things, first off, isnt there a way to bring yoshi with you to the area with the key? if so you have two options, eat the p switch the frame you land on it, and there you go, two items! but if that doesnt work, i would still try, you may be able to stick yoshi in enough that he and you get pushed on top of the brown blocks, thus falling out the other side... is that possible? other than that i see no way but waiting :/

i have two ideas, not sure if either are possible. one, boost at the coin block wall, could you grab the coin before it turns into a block? probably not so you could try... using the key to maybe boost yourself through the roof next to the coin wall and stay in the ceiling and walk over the wall. either of those work?

Make a bomb's y-subpos higher, and it'll get slightly greater y-speed and bounce high.
well i compared it to someone elses run and i made them have the exact same y subpixel (and regular y pixel) yet i couldnt throw it far unless i waited a bunch of frames on the ground...

hey guys, i have a question. when you are on the ground and holding a bomb and you throw it it can go fairly far, though sometimes it will only go about a third of that distance (not even that much)... what causes that and how could i make the bomb go the furthest distance when im on the ground?

the purpose of our run is to complete the game as fast as possible, and still getting 100%. there will be some variation for multiple reasons, some levels we have to tas part of it to get to the power up we need, others it may be faster to complete (especially with yoshi wings) rather than get the power up/go to another level to get a 1up then enter the level. so ya, the tas should have variation.

well through a test run kaizoman found it took 30 minutes to get to 180 (he made a test run for the old method which was somewhere near 180 where every time you got a flower you got a goal point in your stock.) so we are assuming it shouldnt take more than 20 so minutes, then probably another 30 minutes for the rest of the game (maybe more or less, im not the best at judging time.) so it should save about 30 some odd minutes from Fabians time. :D
