Really it is simple.... either you like it about this upload or not. Either it is for some people not speedrun then it is in wrong place, or that it is not eligible here etc. But really, I don't care... I just have done a pretty good looking Timeattack movie on my free time and thought...hey why not share my movie to some...on the bisqwit site ofc. And here it is.. And it seems like some cannot download it if they think it not belong here =)) He heh its cool... but this topic was more to the people who think; yeye a homemade Timeattack movie and not Speedrun all the time....cool... can't hurt to download this and whatch!!! =) Just download it...okey?! And then some comments!! ^^

Baka! =) Yes, yes I know the point of this site....but if my movie was tool-assisted then it is Speedrun.... If you look close on my "Subject" IT says Timeattack!! Which is the WHOLe point! Only that I recorded "track for track" and putted all that to a movie. I am in the Right place.... If I would release this movie on the "site" THEN it would be the wrong place.....but now I do it outside (in this forum)....then it is okey!!! Maybe you understand now.. :P

Hello Folks! I am back now with my sec. Timeattack.......wierdly I was finish with this movie back in the beginning of the summer, but first now I have errrrr "strength" to upload it :d This movie is way better then my first Timeattack (SMB3) and YES I stick with Super Mario in the beginning heh he. (But maybe my third one will be a Timeattack of the game; R-Type Snes) SMW was kinda a little more difficult then SMB3, BuT still this one IS better!! I am most happy with the "ghost-track" I did....suprperfect he heh!! And remember that I (like last time) have just "recorded" track for track.......sounds maybe easy?? IT IS NOT!! But No other "cheating" was used like; savestats & slowmotion! Download these 4 rar files, and join all the 00x files with hjsplit. (The speed can be like 10 KB/s buut plz have patience) smw1.rar smw2.rar smw3.rar smw4_plus_hj.rar Enjoy!!

Thanks for the first comment. It seems that you like it, thats really good to hear =))
- Couldn't you have redone the hit-the-wall-and-stop parts to, well, not hit the wall and stop?
Yes yes... hhe I know that part kinda suck :\ I somehow don't know why I didn't redid it. And, I did know the "jumping on Bowser" stuff before I started with this movie. It was just kinda too hard to accomplish that part.........I could have done it with savestats, you know. :)
I like it. Are there any major differences between the SMAS and NES versions of this game that would affect how fast it can be time attacked?
Not really, maybe just 1-3 seconds. Looking forward for more downloads and, of course, more comments! (Now I feel to continue my SMW recording .. .. .. .. .. =P)

Ok, but I have 10mbit so I find it very slow ;P Yeah, I know where it is.. How old are you? Do you go to school in Karlstad?
Okey... I saw you on DC++ again but I was not there so I couldn't answer you... sorry. :{ But I think now what the problem is of the speed. You allways have tried the "Snigel" hubben, right? And I havn't use my computer for other uploads etc.???! Try the "HgMz.no-ip.com" insteed. I think the bad speed was caused by the snigel hub. :) I am 19 years old... how old are youu? No more school for me!! Well, you can also try this now....AND THATS GO ALL OF YOU HERE ON THE FORUM. Now there is a easy way to download my file. I have now upload my avi movie to a website (freewebs.com) so you can download direct from there. But it is only one thing you haft to do to work this out.: Download these 2 "Split" files: http://webzoom.freewebs.com/teioch/SMB3%20Snes-Timeattack%20TeiOch.avi.001 & http://webzoom.freewebs.com/teioch/SMB3%20Snes-Timeattack%20TeiOch.avi.002 ATTENTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When you have the 2 Split files, it seems like freewebs.com did change the format from 001/002 - to - *.avi !!!? Why? I dont know....hmmm, but it is reallllly simple to change it back. Download these files, and then make sure that insteed of "SMB.........TeiOch.avi.avi" it is "SMB........TeiOch.avi.001" & "S...Och.avi.002". 001 is the 39 mb file and 002 is the 21.4 mb file. Join with HjSplit... After that you WILL have a playable AVI file. Enjoy!! ;) ATTENTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And then download this program, because you haft to "JOIN" the 001 and 002 file into the right format = *.avi. Thats all! You should now be able to watch my timeattack movie now. As I said, plesase let me also know what you think of the movie.: http://freebyte.swmirror.com/hjsplit.zip ------->/*TeiOch*

downloading right now, but the speed is terrible :/
Eh? the speed should not be terrible. I have 0,5 adsl and not ISDN like it says on DC++. And my name was (is still) "urk_77" ..... just take search and write Timeattack, my file should pop up then. :) The speed must been just temporary. Btw, you are from K-D, then you should know where Deje is? :) Thats my place.
not with the semantics again... :|
Hhehe... I agree Someone else who will try download my movie?? I will gladly hear som comments here. :%

I have never done a timeattack movie before.....the only game "recording" I have done before is recorded Quake 3 demos from Single Player Mode; Every track made in Perfect (means never to die; to be fragged :)), massive excellent and impressive & of course won on all tracks. Anyways, here is my second Game "recording". Super Mario Bros 3 (SNES version) made all by me. But I havn't done like you people here....I have never use some speed/slow motion on my rec, not either a single savestat etc. I have insteed made 17 SMV recordings....one SMV for like one track, and put all that together, with a nice intro movie, to a nice looking timeattack movie, ithink! =) I am not super good in SMB3, but damn I love that game, one of the best game of all time. I'm just pretty good at it. But some tracks in the movie are really nice, for being played from the start to the end of the track with no savetats etc. I tried to do my best....tried as fast as possible and do some tricks here and there so it will not be boring to watch. The ONLY thing that I am not proud of is in the end of the movie, before you meet the last boss, before the lava there....I think you will see where I mean...2 BIG misstakes that takes maybe 1-2 second of my timeattack. :( And one thing more......THIS GAME is not the same as the original....IN the org you can jump higher, but in the SNES version you can jump longer. It means that you cant do the same tricks, almost the same however. Sorry for only 30 FPS. It is the got dammit VirtualDub who suck because it cant save AVI files with 60 fps (if you change that I mean), all the time the numbers of FPS turned to 59,9999999 insteed. So I fixed my movie in Roxio's VideoWave 7....damn what a good program....or WAS, until I found out that it only have 30 FPS for max. So thats because it is 30. The rest is fixed with Virtdub/nandub of course! I am working now on my sec timeattack move: SMB-World and when it will be finish, then I will try to make that in 60 FPS and re-realese my SMB3 with 60 also. I know some may think now....skip this crap and show me where the file is download-able?! Hehe! I cant do that!! Because I dont have a website to upload it with.. But there is one way. Get DC++ can be found here: http://dcplusplus.sourceforge.net/ and download it (if you dont have it). Then install it and take Quick connect in the File Menu alt.: CTRL+Q. You can find me on 3 adresses where the Share limit is 0 byte =)). Here is the adresses.....write it in the Quick connect field and press OK.: uknomadsworldredirect.servebeer.com snigeln.mine.nu HgMz.no-ip.com My name is urk_77 & these HUBS have like only 5-30 pers. Get my file list and download my AVI file. All set!! I have my DC++ up now (24 H) a couple of days. Comments please! *TeiOch*

I would say these 2 movies: http://tasvideos.org/movies.cgi?id=44 = NES Prince of Persia (USA) in 16:39 by Gavin Ward (aka. SprintGod). & NES Super Mario Bros 3 (Japan) in 1:17:41 by トクシン (aka. Tokushin). Man, This SMB3 Warpless is breathtaking!!!

You say that this work pretty good for making snes movies.... but how good? Is it like Great or perfect or just good. And can I make a movie from other movies with diffrent FPS, codec etc.? I was thninking to get this program.....it seems to be a great program for both Sound/video edit.

But at the same time people dont wanna download very large files for maybe a 15 mins long movie and the size like 300 MB. I think XviD is the best one. If you have a cinemetic movie, say Equilibrium (I endure that movie) so will DivX bring you very good quality but xvid brings you allmost real DVD quality.

Sounds pretty wierd. But I had some snes9x problems a time back...and I change my version to a newer one. But that could be hard if you have the latest one. :P You dont directly install Snes9x....you just copy it, and if you replace your exe file with the same. Probaly the same setting will remain. The only thing you could to then is (I think) change in the REG. Cause I think snes9x is connected with register with the settings & BUGS :)) GL!!!!

It was just the program BMPtoAVi I was using to make my intro movie....and thtas so wierd when all my 17 orginals movies (not 16) and my intro had the same fps, bits, uncrompressed and all. Even the same name with 01, 02, 03 etc. So the Virtdub could add all these segments to one movie file. But it cant......the only thing that my 17 movie files have and my intro movie dont...is sound....could that matters??? OR Virtdub sucks =) But i will check the other programs....and maybe avimerge can fix this. Thx for the tips!! Oh, and hey....I am also now making my sec. timeattack movie....I am up for Super Mario now in beginning....so now it is SMB-World....& same here....noo savestats. =)

Okey, if someone remember a time back ago....I was asking about making a movie (avi) from snes9x. Heh of course I didn't have the latest version one....so it was piece of cake later. I have now made a SMB3 (Snes version) movie....a timeattck movie where I havn't use a single slow, speed, savestats. Cuase i didnt think about it....I have insteed made 16 smv files for like on smv for one track.. :] And put all that together in one movie. And very soon I was thinking to share it here on the forum and see what you people think. :-> But I have 2 problems before I can do it.... the first is the size of the movie....I have done everthing exactly as the bisqwit says on the site....I think when you gonna make calc on 2:nd pass (xvid)....on top of all options there; it says there as standard something like 660 000 something :) And I belive that that is the key of the size... 3mb per minute.....soooo what should I write there?????? AND here is now the BIG problem.... : An Intro for my own movie. In simple way I have made a bmp. image .... but I cant get it together with the 16 originals @ 60fps, uncrompressed, 24 bit, 256*224. And the intro file has also 60fps, 24bit, uncrompressed, 256*224. So whay cant I put all these together? In Virtdub it says "Cannot append segment bla bla : The video streams have diffrent data formats". What this means?? And if and when I make this work.....I'll change the resize to 320*240 so it will cover "all over the screen"....before I'll make XviD compression. Size problem and Intro problem.....have YOU the answer?

I belive that some of you can tell me how to make a movie from Snes9x? But, I've tried to do it and it won't turn out any good. I have only tested with one program; ACA Screen Recorder. Now here is the question... To record a SNES game into a movie.....is Screen Recording the way to go??? Or maybe you people who make movies can tell me how to make it so good as possible (from emulator of course). ---------------> /TeiOch
