I tried with Yoshi Story and Super Smash Bros. too, and none of them worked. The weird things is that when I ran Super Mario 64 a month ago on an older version of Mupen (deleted that file >_>), it worked just fine. So there must be something with the new version that's causing the problem.

AMD 1,4 GHz
512 MB RAM
Windows XP Professional
GeForce 3 Ti 200 newest driver
This can basically run any "old" game like Counter-Strike so I don't believe my computer capacity is causing the problems.

Hey, soulrivers, welcome to the forums.
I remember this question being asked a few times before, but there are a few things you can try, there is no one solution.
1) Re-download the ROM.
2) Download a different ROM of the same game.
3) Redownload the emulator.
4) You may want to uncheck 'raw data' in the input menu. It causes problems.
5) You may be confused between 'crashed' and 'slow' If the FPS and IV in the bottom left of the screen both read 0.0 then the emulator will appear crashed. I nwhich case your computer is too slow to hack the mupen or you may need a top up of RAM.
That's about all I can think of right now. Good luck.
1) Did that, no luck.
2) Still doesn't work.
3) Tried that too.
4) Done already.
5) When I say crash I mean the emulator closes down as soon as I open any ROM. I get the windows-message "Mupen64 has encountered an error and needs to close down" or whatever. And no, the FPS reads 60.0 as it should when I start it.
Thanks for trying though, any help is appriciated.

I don't know if this question has been asked before in this thread, but it's a bit too long to look thorugh for this specific (or well, it's a big one D:) problem. My problem is that whenever I open any ROM the emulator crashes, without any error message. This is from a fresh installment and I have tried using all kind of different plug-ins.
