http://hosted.filefront.com/Pushpabon speedrun of Duke3D PC version just dled the vids.interesting stuff i tried to use every shortcut in the n64 version.here are my results: Hollywood Holocaust/Gun Crazy: as Hoe said: its possible to skip the blue keycard in Gun Crazy. That means you dont have to get a jetpack in level 1.Great shortcut thanks! Death Row/Toxic Dump: Death Row stays the same because n64 players need the Vitamin X to do the Toxic Dump shortcut. The jump-duck trick is NOT possible in the n64 version :( The Abyss: no changes Warp Factor: VERY good shortcut but kinda hard to do.Its 100% possible and saves a lot of time. Occupied Territory: sorry no changes Tiberius Station: LOL! how stupid am I?!this is rather obvious....works in the n64 version aswell.great stuff thanks! Lunar Reactor: no changes because of jump-duck trick Raw Meat: It works from time to time but im not sure how to do it exactly.Might be VERY frustrating in a speedrun!! Fahrenheit: IMO it doesnt matter if you go through the yellow keycard door or fly up.no changes. thats all! It would be very much appreciated if someone could explain the Warp Factor and especially Raw Meat shortcuts in detail.Hoe maybe?!

There is no Jetpack and/or Vitamin X in Toxic Dump trust me ;) oh and btw im starting to think about killing the first Battlelord in Lunar Reactor with the Plasmagun. It would save 12 dum dums and some explosive shells that i can use on the Overlord later.

ok cause gamefaqs sucks and doesnt care we can do the speedrun discussion over here.
General: Use of Vitamin X, which I did not use in my run. Use of SMGs is prevalant. Hollywood Holocaust: Stops to pick up more items. Good idea, actually. Death Row: He picks up both the yellow and red keycards, which I really don't believe is necessary. Toxic Dump: Uses a Multiplayer teleporter to skip about half the level entirely! The Abyss: Goes a different way at the beginning to get to the San Andreas Fault monument. Does NOT use the shrinker at all. Instead, he goes around to the spot where you'd normally go after going through the hole when shrunken. Tiberus Station: I don't quite feel it's required to grab the blue keycard. Raw Meat: He doesn't grab the red keycard before the blue, which takes more time than my route. Flood Zone: He sure found a route that beat my non-squish route by a ton. He also shows why you shouldn't try to land on land when you fall down the long hole that goes to the Nukem button. =D Bosses: He should've at least stocked up on Dum Dum bullets, IMO. It's the thing I know is the fastest to kill anything except the Cycloid Emperor (final boss), and even if they dont' kill the last boss, they take off at least a good chunk of his health.
General: I dont use Vitamin X to be faster i only use it to do the short cuts: Hollywood Holocaust: jump across the street Toxic Dump: jump around the corner to get the red keycard Flood Zone: its better to use Vitamin X to go through the glass to get the yellow keycard. It is possible to do without Vitamin X but it requieres too much luck. Death Row:For me it is necessary because i dont have a jetpack and i need the vitamin X behind the yellow door. Its the only Vitamin X in Death Row and its essentially important to do the Toxic Dump shortcut. Tiberius Station:youre right your route is better here and ill use it from now one. That will give me at least 10-15seconds Raw Meat:LOL never thought about this one. Thanks again ill use that in future runs. Flood Zone:This death was just (/%§/&!"§$/& Bosses:ok this is one interesting point.Im pretty sure its the best way to kill the battlelord with dum dums and then finish him off with your smg.Im not totally sure what weapons to use for the Overlord. The Plasmagun is definitely too slow and i dont have any dum dums here i need them for the small battlelords before.I found out that missiles are more effective than grenades even if they are slower.oh and btw i cant use all of my smg here i always stop shooting with around 150shots.Its important for the next few levels. For the Cycloid Emperor i first use my explosive shells (they must be powerful..?!) then my smg and if its not enough i use missiles again. What weapons do you use against the bosses?Unfortunately dum dum are too rare to use them every time.Or did i miss a secret with dum dums in a level?!
