1) I don't THINK there's a policy like 'judges will prioritize movies that are of more popular games/categories'. If there is, then feel free to correct me. 2) The situation in 2012 may not be comparable. For example, if Bernka's movie was submitted when the workbench was completely empty, it would only be natural for it to be accepted much faster. In general, remember that this is a volunteer job done completely without pay for the love of TASing and that a lot of other TASers exist who are using the same service as you, for free. I would recommend patience; you're not being targeted or ignored, there just aren't enough resources going around for everyone's TAS to be judged promptly, atm.

Nice work. I'd love to see glitched best ending and glitchless best ending TASes too, if you ever get the itch to come back.

The one on one fight was a little boring, but it gets more and more hectic as it goes on. I love the complexity of setting up the glitch and chasing down enemies to one-tap them. I think a TAS that foregoes this glitch would be even more fun to watch but hey, I ended up entertained.

Technically additional loops would be additional content up until you've played every track with max upgrades once, right? Though I wouldn't expect you to do it unless you were interested

I love the wiggle at 19:37 in the encode.

Great mixture between solid platforming, minor glitchiness and major glitchiness.

It's too bad this can't be console verified because the route/tricks used are very funny.

Just after I heard about the time save potential in Kosmic's video on the category, makes sense!

A hero who can't take a single step but can save the world - classic. Nice technical expertise. Things I wonder: * Why the hero dies instantly, what's wrong with them? * If this can be console verified * Why there's encryption in a NES game. Is it just a copy-paste of PC code (where it DOES make sense to discourage save file peeking) or if they were trying to thwart gameshark users or something.

Love TASes of previously never completed categories, and some fun speedtech in this one. I do have one question. If a human wanted to replicate swapping between 60 and 500 FPS mid run like this TAS, what would they have to do? Or is this an artifact of libTAS letting you change it mid-run and not human-viable?

Wasn't expecting an improvement to one of my all-time favourite TASes, nice! The artist's cut is much easier to watch (it's not your fault that the game has loading screens). The new photo finish is very fun. Wesker continues to uphold his status as one of the gods of war.

The glitch music is SO perfect. I take it it just happened when you optimized for speed?

I know some games have an ending if you stand around and do nothing, but I don't think I've ever seen a game give the BEST ending by doing that. That'd be funny.

What does clicking a cell do in this game? It looks a little like Lights Out but seems to be doing something different. (I ask because typically in Light's Out -likes clicking the same cell twice in a solution is meaningless, as the order of your inputs doesn't matter, and making an input twice just undoes itself - but I don't know if that applies here.)

Link to video Ross has released a followup video. It's not specifically a response to Thor's video, but it clarifies his positions on things brought up by Thor.

Fun TAS. Instead of having an optimal combo, you want to ring out each opponent, meaning you have to manipulate them into destroying themselves in their own unique way. It's like every character gets a chance to anti-shine!

I did notice one thing of concern regarding optimization: there are multiple points through the run where movement speed modifiers are obtained. While some of these sped up the player, others slowed the player down. Simply by watching the encode, I cannot see a reason why picking up these slow-down modifiers would be desirable. I would assume maintaining a higher movement speed would be the more optimal approach.
The 'slow' powerup slows down only enemies, unless I misunderstand. --- This was one of my childhood games, and this is incredibly superhuman play and a delightful treat, thank you for making it! I can see the upper bound for optimization is essentially infinite due to RNG manipulation and routing possibilities, so while this could be improved you could also never prove anything optimal, so I think as a first gen TAS it's good enough and anyone who wants to improve it is welcome to. The AirXonix developers made some other TASable games, but I don't know if you have the nostalgia for any of the other ones, e.g. https://www.axysoft.com/moneymania/

This is such a cool premise for a game. It's remininscent of Lode Runner, but you can use your inventory to freely re-arrange the floor tiles of the world. I feel like you could expand this idea into a full length game by playing with it more.

Welcome to SM64, where walls are just a suggestion. It feels like there's barely any gameplay left in the run at this point, I love it.

There's a 39 day SM64 TAS that's been verified, so that one is even longer: Link to video SM64 is actually one of the easiest N64 games to console verify, because its physics don't change if there are more or less lag frames, and it doesn't poll on lag frames, so if you just give it input on non-lag frames you're good to go. There are much harder N64 games to console verify, because we can't even emulate them accurately, because to emulate their lag requires cycle accuracy and their lag changes physics. Goldeneye being a good example of this (at least the last time I checked) SNES is also very hard to console verify, IIRC the reason is because two different components have their own timers and in any actual SNES their timers are slightly desynced due to physical inaccuracies.
