Post subject: US vs. JPN Are they considered different runs?

I'm doing a run of Megaman X1 (Or Rockman X1 since I'm using the Japanese version) I wanted to know whether or not the region would make it considered a different run. (For the record I'm using the Japanese version because the text boxes are smaller thus they go by quicker)
