I'd also appreciate it if someone who has the resources could make an avi and upload it somewhere. If it's uploaded as a torrent I'd help seed of course.

Could someone post a direct link to the published Japanese version please? I'm not the best at finding the right rom and applying the patch and using the right emulaor with the right settings. :)

Hopefully someone can get a sub 5 minute video. Michael would know more than I would if that's possible with all of the glitches used now. I don't know a whole lot about creating these videos, but I'd assume Michael would be able to pump this out somewhat fast seeing how he only needs to change a few things and the length of time he's worked on SMB in the past.

Fried said if he can find time then he will probably make a new perfect version. Unless either him or Phil can guarantee a new version within a few days then I think Bisqwit should go ahead and publish this one, if he gets the okay that is. It shouldn't be too much work for Bisqwit seeing how the file will be pretty small.

Why should your video stay and his video not get published just because he missed a few coins and didn't do things absolutely perfect. Yes, I know the goal is absolute perfection. I am well aware of that. My point is that he comes a whole lot closer to perfection than your video does, Michael. Someone happened to improve on your video which you thought to be perfect. I understand this SMB of yours is your pride and joy, but someone shattered your time. Congratulate him and then get to work on achieving perfection instead of talking about it.

As long as you don't try to force this donation thing down peoples throats it should be fine. It's already obvious to me that you're not going to do that. I'm sure you get a decent amount of traffic from suprnova.org. Whenever I see a speedrun has been uploaded there it usually has a good amount of downloads. I didn't figure downloads could go any faster because of the use of bittorrent. Not that I'm at all complaining about that. Hell, the guy who came up with bittorrent deserves to be rich. Thats a whole nother story though. I know what you mean about not wanting to put people in different categories. Thats what I suggested insignificant things like highlighting the names of forum members who have donated. It's something that no one really cares about, but it's at least a tiny perk. That's one of the things tekkenzaibatsu.com does. I know when it got big a lot of people would donate just to get there name highlighted like the other forum members. Then if you need help with anything, don't be shy in putting up a notice about it. Sort of like how you show what needs to be seeded. If you need more storage or something like that, post a notice on the main page. You and the other people who make these movies are providing entertainment to a lot of people. There's no shame in asking for a little help if you need it.

Bisqwit, I think you should somehow give extra perks to people who donate. Maybe make their name highlighted on the forum or somehow make it where they can download files a little bit faster than people who haven't donated. Maybe you could make a page showing how much has been donated and how close you are to aquiring what you need for a new server. Or how about making another page with the names of the donators and exactly how much they have donated. Don't get me wrong, these videos and this site is enough for me to donate. I haven't donated anything yet, but I will in the near future. I just remember seeing the little paypal button thing. I'm not going to ask for anything in return for a donation, but I think I have some decent ideas here.

Exactly how close are FF III, Mario RPG, and Crono Trigger close to being made and or published? I haven't heard any news in a while so I thought i'd start asking some questions.

Oh. My bad. I knew that thread was there too because now I remember seeing it. I guess I'm a little too drunk to be posting things on message boards. A moderator needs to go ahead and close this topic because I'm dumb.

I think both X2 and X3 would make good choices for 100% speed runs. I know the concept is to complete the game as fast as possible, but trying to get 100% in these games wouldn't take all that much longer, but would require some work in determining the fastest route for the least amount of stage revisits as possible. As always, good job guys. I'm looking forward to FFIII, SoM, and Crono Trigger too. If not enough people want to see it done, oh well I guess. I can understand why people wouldn't want to watch like 8 hour plus movies

I'm just curious. How far away is this improved version of Zelda 2? It's a game I've been waiting for for a while. I'm not complaining or anything. I'm just saying. As always, great job guys. It's fun watching these vids.

Yeah, I have all of those. The 58 minute Super Metroid game is sick. I've been through Crono Trigger and Seiken Densetsu 3. RPG's are too long to watch. Next time I feel like playing Crono Trigger, I'll just be lazy and watch it instead. :) Oh yeah, I want someone to hurry up and put a Friday the 13th time attack out already. An Adventures of Lolo game would be nice, but there are already movies up at Zohpar's. I hope someone can Fix The Adventures of Link/Famtasia Problem as well. I know I'd love to see it done. And a Duck Hunt time attack would look funny for the first few rounds. Seeing the ducks appear and and just drop instantly would be nice.

Okay, first off I've watched pretty much all of the movies on Bisqwit, Lezard, and Arc's websites. Awesome job guys. Have any of you considering doing SNES games? It seems like the list of fun NES games to do is becoming shorter and shorter. Now of course you guys could just keep improving on the ones you have until they are perfect. Now, it'll be a little boring watching Castlevania version 9.36 where you shave off a third of a second on the 4th boss. Know what I mean? Unless the game is something like Kung Fu where it's short enough to sit through, it will get old fast. I'm not at all complaining. I check these sites every day for something new to download. Now think about something like Mega Man X. That would be something fun to watch. There are lots and lots of SNES games to do. I don't know of ZSNES will work well for time attacks. Oh well, good job guys. I apperciate it.
