In Super Mario World, it takes three frames from the frame Jump is pressed before Mario actually jumps.

thank you very much but... the problem i mainly have with Frame advance is doing a shorter jump (Super Mario World) normally you hold it down longer for a higher jump, well when i need a shorter jump it seems like i cant do it because i always hold it down too long in FA, but if i only tap it he won't jump. Any tips on how to fix that? Besides practice using FA and jumping?

New here and you all seem to be friendly and helpful so i thought i'd make an account here :) I just found out how to actually make a TAS (kind of) and im just trying to play around with it some before i set any goals. I know how to frame advance but it seems kinda tricky to do. any tips you guys have that could maybe help me out with this? also i've heard of slow motion or slowing down, like frame advance but it plays on its own just slower and i dont have to repeatedly tap a button to go to the next frame. Does the Snes9x have this? if so how do i enable this? I'm sorry if there is already something about this but i was unable to find it.
