I'm a fan of self-imposed challenges. I'm a fan of older runs that don't use zips and wraps so I can see more of the game. This does both.

...Right. So blue suit has gone from "incredibly useful glitch that can only be set up under very specific circumstances" to "moonwalk is basically now a blue suit button". Do I have that right? (Yes vote, btw)

Did Kaphotics ever end up releasing his Gen 5 notes?

Lil_Gecko: Not to rain on the parade here, but is there a difference in the loading on Bizhawk vs. psxjin that makes up the seemingly large time gap between your now-completed any% and the currently published run? Yours is something like 98k frames slower.

? Seriously though, what does that acronym stand for? Also, I don't know if this is a compliment or insult, but a lot of that run looks like a very high level human player.

It is now possible to skip Tower of the Gods by causing it to fail to load, by segmenting the actor memory in such a way that no contiguous segment is 500kb. In-depth explanation here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dDHvmmkd3-Y
Would that save time over just doing the dungeon normally? Seems like an awful lot of setup.

That crit to end the fight was unlucky as hell. Is it possible to manipulate that away?

HP Electric is a possibility for Gyarados on a starter. Unfortunately it doesn't really give much elsewhere. Grass Knot might do a decent chunk to him though.
Grass Knot ends up being neutral damage though, since Gyarados is also Flying type. So even though it's the full 120 bp, a 70 bp HP Elec is much better. It hits double weakness for 280 bp.

I noticed that Ayla has extra dialogue with Robo when you first arrive in 65M. What is the time difference between ending the two fights in one action with Laser Spin compared to taking Marle and avoiding the extra words?

The base stats listed in the FAQ are "correct", but Cloud comes equipped with Ice and Lightning materia initially, which each have an effect on his magic (+2), strength (-1), MP (+2%) and HP (-2%). Everything looks okay to me.

Won't vote since I haven't watched it, but isn't Bizhawk the emulator of choice now? Or lsnes? Which means this should be rejected for incorrect emulator usage.

Loss of seconds. For instance, NaturelLorenzo is 13 in-game seconds faster.
Sorry, I didn't specify what I meant. How do you end up fighting Sonic's boss while stuck in a wall?

Bloody hell; what ever you do don't go with the emulator that adds that annoying noise to the reactor escape. It is worse than the 'you are low on hearts' beep in Zelda.
I was about to call you a baby because it's not that bad, but then I watched Lil Gecko's video... Holy moley. I laughed too hard at the sound though, then recorded a few seconds of it on my phone to use as an alarm tone.

I like this hack. It's simple and to the point: make Sonic go as fast as you absolutely can at all times. It's short and sweet, doesn't overstay its welcome. Agreed on the h-underflow comment above. I give this a yes.

Voting meh. There are several autoscrollers, and a whole lot of standing around doing nothing during them. Too many uncollected coins and undefeated enemies.

Disappointed once again that a Yoshi's Island run does not Touch Fuzzy or Get Dizzy at any point.

So is there a way to make this run faster? I know my machine is not cutting edge, but an Athlon XP 3500+ should be able to run Chrono Trigger faster than half speed, yes? Changing the speed setting in the menu doesn't appear to do anything. I have the compatibility core selected, and am using the latest build (lambda15 epsilon1?).
